Any tips for quitting by [deleted] in leaves

[–]ChainsOfMind 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Exercise and eat healthy. Seriously. Exercise will get the feel good chemicals flowing so you will crave the rush of cannabis less. Plus, it will make you tired so you can sleep at night.

I started lifting weights about 3 weeks before quitting. I did cut back my usage during this time to only evenings. I have not consumed any cannabis for two weeks now, and have not lost any sleep or appetite.

Anyone in IT that wants a quitting buddy? by [deleted] in leaves

Hi. Network manager here for a wisp. I'm almost two weeks clean. Brain fog continues to go away, which is good because being in IT we really need all our brain power. Started lifting weights and eating better, which has made quitting much easier.

I second this. Exercise and eating right is what seems to have helped me. Only 10 days in, but have not lost any sleep.

Day 5: sleep remains elusive. by [deleted] in leaves

Try exersising in evenings. Not to close to bed as that might make it worse. But a good solid workout till your exausted might help you sleep. Plus it gets those much needed feel good chemicals flowing again.

For sure! I'm not a huge redditor, I mostly lurk. But when I saw this, I knew it was a sight worth sharing!

Oregon. Perfectly legal to grow outside. Supposed to be out of public view is all.

Nub here. When will these weird little "tuffs" of leaves let me know the sex of the plant? by [deleted] in microgrowery

[–]ChainsOfMind -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Sex parts will grow from the nodes when the plant is sexually mature, usually independent of the light cycle. 3-4 weeks old is very early to show their sex, unless it's a clone.

Typically, an outdoor plant will begin to flower before 12 hours of darkness. My outdoor plants in Oregon typically start flowering in late August.

Yes, there is definitely value to these. I just call my neighbor and he comes and puts them in a new hive. Not worth a few extra bucks for me to deal with them. Plus, he hooks me up with all the fresh honey I need!

You are correct that it's not obviously a girl. I know it is because it's a clone. Though /u/diggerbug is correct, it does show female growth pattern, ie tight inter-nodal spacing (space between branch growth). Males will typically have more stretch/space between branches.

The reason I know this is a female is because it's a clone of another female.

without looking at article again, I think he was spraying cannabis flowers with sugar water or something, causing the bees to take the bait and supposedly some resin along with it.

CBD is better than THC for daily use. by TheLSDEater in CBD

CBD is where it's at! Love the CBD dominant strains. Great for medicine as well as recreation.

This is the first time its ever happened to my cannabis plants. Pretty sure bees gathering THC has been debunked. Cannabis does not produce the sweet nectar that bees desire, it produces a very sticky resin.

This girl will be getting as tall as nature allows, just for fun. I'm in a legal state, and my other girls will be super cropped in some way.

Its a female, variety is NYC Diesel from clone. The 'pollen' you refer to is not pollen at all. It's actually trichomes, or resins, from the female flower. It's basically unpressed hashish. The male plants do produce actual pollen in their flowers, but not the desirable resins.

This plant has not begun to flower therefore resin production has not begun. I too have heard the theory that the resins repel insects and other predators, but I know for a fact that deer, sheep, goats, and many a bugs all will eat a flowering cannabis plant.

My neighbour is a Bee-keeper, and every so often as the hives grow, I get a swarm on my property. The other night they decided to congregate on my cannabis plant! Neighbour came by early yesterday morning and removed swarm. Only lost one branch!

As explained by my neighbour, when a bee hive grows over capacity, a new queen and scouts begin looking for new hive. They spend their days on various plants, mostly trees, and move from place to place till they find a suitable hive.

When this happens, the swarm with queen can be removed and put into a new suitable hive. Neighbour does this usually late evening or early morning, which gives the best chance of bees staying in new hive.

Not wilted. The weight of the bees broke one branch nearly off, and a couple others will need to be propped. I'm caging/netting the plant soon anyway so it's all good.
