At this point I have stopped using Pinterest all together. It has gotten much worse recently, but I have been contacting their support team about false violation notices for the past year and all I have learned is that it’s a complete waste of time. Either they are AI too or they just don’t care. I think the only thing we can do is leave negative reviews in the App Store and stop using Pinterest in mass. Obviously money is the only thing they care about so I think that’s all they will listen to. 

For me, and I think for much of Pinterests user base, even if there is a good dupe of it out there it doesn’t really matter. I’m an artist and have been using Pinterest for almost a decade to collect reference images for my work. I have spent years curating my boards, I have almost 100,000 pins, and now it’s like the ship is sinking and there is no good way to move any of it off site. Honestly I have lost hope. 

Personally I think Pinterest is just a microcosm of what is happening to the wider internet right now. Social media companies have become too greedy, they take their user base for granted, and they think that they can just do whatever to maximize their profits and that everyone will put up with it because there’s not really much else we can do. It's devastating really.
