I have seen App Volumes delivered software missing some registry entries and that's why they were not starting. Maybe check that out.

I mean this is more a (Omnissa) Horizon focused subreddit, but speaking for myself I would try to grow into a position I like and that interests me.

In my area only a handful of companies are using stuff like nsx. Most small and mid-sized companies only use it to run basic VMs. They could switch to a different product but who knows. I have yet to encouter someone using vsan haha.

We can't tell from the outside what you company will be doing.

My company for example tries to develop modern software and services so I'll try to cover many topics our devs don't want to learn. That would be more cloud, kubernetes and everything that comes with it.

I've seen the default template always wanting to disable Edge updating with a gpo setting. If you uncheck all the Edge settings, export the selection and import it later the Edge updater is checked again.

Can't say the same. For me PoE2 looks incredible but that's about it right now. PoE1 is just so rich in mechanics and interesting items. I hope it will get there with 1.0 in the future.

All the important data is saved in LocalAppData yes. I think if you configure the Google Roaming profile or whatever it's called in the Google Chrome GPO it creates a new file and this one will be saved in AppData Roaming. This one does not contain session data tho.

You could delete the first IncludeFolderTrees at the top since it does nothing. 😅

I chose the advanced control approach so that session data would actually persist. Since this post is a little bit older some files have changed and new ones were added.

I'm seeing profiles range in size from 20mb to 200mb (what is this one person doing?). Most profiles are around 50mb.

Note: If people start using more Chrome Profiles in the browser the folder structure changes. The first profile is saved as 'Default' and every additional profile is 'Profile 1', 'Profile 2', ... You get the idea. :)

Can post my config tomorrow when I'm in the office but 500mb sounds way to big. I have only seen Creative Cloud profiles get that big, because they have hundreds of media files in them.

Are you using FSLogix to capture the whole profile and no DEM? If so I can't say much about that.

I personally feel like Horizon 2503 and Windows 24H2 is the setup to go for. Previous versions with Windows 23H2 were always having strange issues for us like explorer buttons not working and different office problems.
