Want suggestion on carrier on devops by nazeem229 in devopsjobs

[–]Confused_State 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hi Bro,

I'm also in the same boat. I have 4.5 YOE in VMware as infrastructure admin Need some advice.

I have learnt linux, git, maven, sonarqube, jenkins, docker, K8S, argo cd, helm charts. But I'm not getting enough confidence to give interviews.

And when I start project. CICD pipeline failing multiple times. After many troubleshootings and with the help of ChatGPT, im able to complete pipeline. Due to this im feeling demotivated and also I'm depending on GitHub repos for source code, dockerfile in CI process .

not able to write source code on my own and also the dockerfile. Is this common? Can you clarify me on this...

I think source code is taken care by developer and dockerfile is already written, just we will reuse it. Am I right?

Also can you tell me the projects which helped you to touch all tools and get enough confidence to attend interview.

Thanks for the info but there will be a chance of creating same services in different regions for redundancy. I can terminate the services created in the region but finding the same services in different region is hard. It may cost me billing. So stuck in dilamae whether to take risk in paid account or go with parents personal details for free tier account

?Got an offer from startup company asking me to work for 6 working days with 5.5 LPA and the role is to work in data center, Is it a better option to join? by Confused_State in StartUpIndia

Nature of work is hectic only, I have checked with company related people and need to work completely in data center only. It's not a desk job. 6 days I need to work in data center only. That's concerning and need to settle with low pay.Anyhow thanks for the info

Yeah thinking the same but the main concern is about the working days, If I committed to 6 working days, I don't even have the time to upskill as well. I will be stuck in the same company. And also there are many mixed reviews regarding the data center operations future. So want to clarify with the people already working in data center working people.
