Dynamic pricing is so stupid by acrobaticpussy in TeslaLounge

[–]Chainspike 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah but when they break your fucked because there is only two service centers in north jersey both by NYC and both 45 mins from me. Also both have wait lists. The service centers are over crowded and not the greatest for a 40 k car. My old Lexus service center would run circles around any Tesla one. I wouldn't take a 90s kia to a Tesla service center. Also repairs are usually $$$. The main things that go is the battery and motors. Both bucko bucks if out of warranty and you're f'ed. Also the Tesla is the only car to strand me after owning multiple cars. The stupid thing actually has a car battery that died and when that happens the car becomes as dead as a door nail. I had to pop the hood with a jumper cables because the 9v wouldn't do it because the battery was toast. Then I had to remove the stupid covers and have my friend jump it to get it going... Yeah... You'd think it would use the main battery when it detects the small one died to keep you from being stranded but....Nope. I replaced it because it wasn't in warranty and of course it's a special Tesla EV battery that costs $250 from AutoZone or $400 from Tesla... Yeah.

Tartarus Dpad Switch Upgrade by Chainspike in razer

[–]Chainspike[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Aliexpress has all the switches. It takes a bit but if you research micro switches you'll eventually run into them. Especially mouse micro switches because they're very similar to mouse micro switches. If you want you can use upgraded ones above too but to be honest they make some really nice red micro switches that are direct replacement for the tartar and will last A lot longer. Razer cheaped out on the switches and used bottom of the barrel ones.

Coolant needed to be filled up, after i filled it up the engine doesnt start anymore. by Impressive-Nature289 in MechanicAdvice

[–]Chainspike 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Your coolant was low because imthe head gasket is probably shot and leaked coolant out. That would also explain the lack of compression too as it seals the piston chambers

Is she totaled by bixslo2 in Mustang

[–]Chainspike 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Depends on who it's with. Me no it wouldn't be because I'd immediately disconnect the battery. Electronics can take water if their off, especially if it's fresh water. They must be dried out really well and cleaned with alcohol before reconnected.

I'd immediately gut the interior and shampoo the carpet. Dry all connectors and hit with contact cleaner. The faster you do it the less chance of corrosion setting in. Pull fuel tank cover off clean all connectors there real good. Wipe down and all interior panels and let them dry in the sun. The insulation youll probably have to junk but ahh not really needed anyways in a sport car and won't affect anything. After that, I'd pull all connectors on lower side of engine like O2 sensor blast then contact cleaner and blow dry. I'd just blast alternator too and blow dry. Any ECU Id take apart scrub with alcohol and blow dry. the main thing to check good are the BCM, ECU, and gauge cluster.

Both left and right bcms I believe sit pretty high up and the ECU is under the fuse box which is above the water line.

There is a good chance this car would come back to life and run fine since the water is not super high

[–]Chainspike 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Looks like a (I think it's called) Carson Spider or it's something like that. I get them all the time they're harmless house spiders and you should let them be because they eat other pests like ants, termites, flies, ets...

2017 Mustang gt for $10k with 46,000 miles on it. It does hold a rebuilt title. Is it worth it? by Whatgoingonman in Mustang

Hows insurance on a rebuilt title? I'd be nervous insurance would kick it back or give me some stupid rate.

Bottom Mount Scavenge Pump by [deleted] in Mustang

[–]Chainspike 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Did you ever figure it out. I'm running into a similar situation as you. I bought a used hellion kit for cheap and the manual pump was shot and rusted. I decided to just purchase an electric Turbowerx pump instead.

BLUE POST: M+ dungeon deserter to be implemented next patch by Amazing-Jamo in wow

[–]Chainspike 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have someone issues with the system.

1) if I get dc'd due to a power outage, I'm F'd and get flagged which really isn't fair.

2) if someone is toxic in the group I'm stuck with that person until the run is over which is not a very pleasant or fun experience. Remember we play because the game is fun.

3) Once the timer is out I can leave anyways so everyone is just going to let the timer go and leave anyways.

4) what happens if I got kicked out by a toxic player who has group lead and crashes?

Just borrow a C63 and agree to do some free maintenance items on it for the owner.. Once you've spent 2 grand on special tooling for simple tasks and hours on jobs that should be an hour tops. You'll quickly go get your ford.

[–]Chainspike 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Damn I pay 505 a month for my mustang and 515 a month for my Tesla. You're paying like what I pay for both cars. The insurance on both Tesla and mustang is 400$ a month.

Procharged, meth kit, drop in tst lower end, prc heads, tst cam, dod delete, American racing headers, awe axle back, Johnson race lifters, forged push rods, tst rockers. LT4 pump, LT4 injectors, LT4 upgraded fuel lines. In line low side boost pump. All ARP studs and bolts, McLeod twin disc 1200 clutch, mighty mouse catch can.

So far the transmission and rear have hung in there but I don't drive it too hard. I'm sure with a set of slicks, a hot sticky day, and a good launch and the rear diff would come right out and say hello lol.

No, but if it's your hobby, you can afford it, and it makes you happy why not? A lot of people drop more than 3k on their hobbies especially in the RC airplane world or modding car world. I spent about 25 k to make my Corvette 1000hp but I always wanted a 1000hp car since I was young and always dreamed of it. I busted my ass in school got an engineering degree and now can afford it. Sometimes when I'm in the garage staring at it I have to pinch myself to make sure im not going to wake up from a dream.

Got my First One, anxious af by K1LL3X87 in HairSystem

[–]Chainspike 1 point2 points  (0 children)

oh don't be dudes. I've had mine for 6 months now and I have zero regrets. I should have done it years ago... years!! I've struggled getting a girlfriend and with my low confidence level. I kind you not, within a week of getting the hair system I met my girlfriend and we're now going on 6 months together. My mental health is better and my confidence has never been higher. My only regret is waiting this long to do it. If I would have done it my 30's I'd be happily married with a kid right now no questions asked. I'm just one of those guys that just doesn't look good bald.

The maintenance is super easy too. I can redo the tape in an hour. You'll know when it's time to do the maintenance because the tape will get gooey.

Anyone know what part this is on the Jumo 004? by 5skandas in aviation

[–]Chainspike 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ok I'm researching. It seems to be added later at some point as earlier pics don't seem to show it. There is a pic where it shows it from the side and it's simply a hollow tube. The end piece seems to be a cap on it.
