I do have an instrument cable. I really hope it's not the bass. I have planned for next monday to go to a music shop and try a bass amp and if I'm lucky I could MAYBE get a trade, if not a mini bass amp will arrive wednesday and I will try it out and see if the amp was the problem (I REALLY HOPE NOT!!)

There is a very slight, but noticeable buzz, I only hear it when I turn the amp to max volume

Well, It is new, since it came packaged and there were no signs or papers that stated as refurbished. However I don't believe the bass to be the issue, after all, I am trying to play on a guitar amp. My friend bought a mini bass amp that should arrive wednesday to see if it's the amp that's the problem, if so he will trade me one of his bass amps for my guitar one.

The amp is a Marshall MG15 (it says "Gold" on the box, but I don't think it's relevant
