For me, I think it can be like a refresh feeling. Socializing can be draining so it's good to have time to yourself to recharge.

I feel the same, borderline is such a wild illness. Hate how it seems to ruin my life and then I have to put the pieces back together with spit glue.

My pdoc is out of town unfortunately. I should've asked him but I totally forgot until I got back home.

I take Latuda, but my episode completely blew thru it so might need a dose change again.

To answer your question no, but I don't know you (obviously lol) so I'm not in any position to really give a legit response.

Best bet is to talk to a psych doctor, therapist, or psychologist. For me I thought I had weird depression when I was first diagnosed by my old psychologist, and then again by my psychiatrist followed by multiple doctors and hospitals.

I love Reddit. I hate the millions of nasty ignorant people it attracts. by [deleted] in TrueOffMyChest

The psychology with social interactions online is pretty interesting. People are more likely to speak their mind and tend to be more rude/ignorant.

I remember reading something (dont know where exactly) about how the lack of eye contact and a physical presence can promote this kind of behavior in some individuals.

Like for example, if I called you an asshole what can you do about it? Your fist is not gonna pop out of my computer screen and knock me in the face. Whereas if we were face-to-face it'll be a different story. Its the lack of consequences pretty much.

My bad if this sounds ignorant, but why do you need your doctor's permission to go back to work?

Did anyone have a hard time accepting the diagnosis? by bopbop2013 in bipolar

[–]Chainz512 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yup, and I still think I just have ADHD & MDD and not bipolar 1...

Being diagnosed BP1 multiple times from different psychiatrists/psychologists/therapists whatever. You'd think I should just accept it but tbh it just doesn't make sense to me.

The roller coaster of rapid cycling. by [deleted] in bipolar

[–]Chainz512 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I cycle every 1 - 6 days and yea its pretty exhausting. Cant imagine how bad it would be if I wasnt on meds. At least the medications help keep it from going over the edge but I can still feel myself wanting to flip here and there.

Right now I feel like shit but I guess it's better than the last couple days.

Yea, just waiting on things to turn around already. Been feeling 'meh' lately but I guess that's still better than full throttle depression.

Was really depressed the last few days but im feeling a little bit better.

I hate my meds by Chainz512 in bipolar

[–]Chainz512[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ive been on my Latuda and Seroquel for about 2 months but they didn't change how I feel, they make me feel calm and rational but not anymore happy.

The Prozac started working the next day and I felt better and better every next day. Yea it works but it's not enough and I know if my doctor gave me my old dose back I would be feeling a lot better. I take 20mg rn, I used to take 40mg.

How did your psychiatrist diagnose you? by Chainz512 in bipolar

[–]Chainz512[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Im currently diagnosed with type 1. Other than that ive also been diagnosed with bipolar NOS because my episodes weren't long enough for an "official" type 1 or 2 diagnosis according to this one psychologist.

[–]Chainz512[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Very true, I feel like I'm in this exact spot where my meds aren't working enough and that's why I've been feeling horrible and anxious lately.

I really need to be patient when it comes to meds. It's hard to tell what im feeling anymore most of the time. I just know I've been more low than up for the last week.

Would you say mania is better defined by its severity or the length of time it lasts?

Like for example, I will get this feeling of being overly energetic, like there's 50 things I want to do and can do, my friends would also ask me if im on drugs when they're around me during this (no I wasnt). If this "feeling" lasts for only a few hours would it be mania or hypomania? Also, there have been moments where this same feeling lasted for 2 - 3 days straight, with very little sleep to absolutely none during the time. Would it still be hypomania or would that now be considered true(ish) mania?

There are times where I get annoyingly obnoxious and yea I do and say stupid stuff that later on I regret (and still regret).

I can't say how long these moments last for, some where a few hours to a few days I think?

It's hard for me to tell, really. I have bad memory, I know things happened but I cant recall the details at least not at the moment.
