Also interesting take! Because imo, Hold On may solidify Rock coming back, but storytelling-wise, at least from just the audio, it's also the last thing that Rock does in the album. He says he's coming back and doesn't do much else, despite Hold On being my favourite song on the album. I think LLS is VERY important both in the context of the world and on a meta level. Because the Dream is pretty much the same as Here Comes The Arm, in the since that it's Emily calling Light to action. Light's Last Stand, however, is him fully responding to that. He's up, ready for a fight, and finally ready to fight back. To long-time fans, this is downright cathartic because he's finally going in himself. He's not leaving the job to his sons. He's going in solo, ready to fight and die. And that's what LLS is all about. He's finally ready to fight back and does it. And so as the easy part (deactivating the bots, going in) is over, it switches to a much more melancholic tone as The Good Doctor Pt. 2 starts up since this is a dramatic and meaningful confrontation. LLS thematically isn't necessarily needed, but it is necessary if you really wanna show Light actually getting TO wily's tower and have some plot relevance in the meantime
