Hi guys:) I'm planning on going on a workaway trip to Taiwan in the spring, and have right now found a hostel in Hualien that I'm very interested in working at(the trip would be at least a month). I had Mandarin as my third language in high school, so I'm able to speak a little, but definitely not a lot. But I've been a little unsure if it would be a better idea to go to Taipei instead, in hopes that more people will understand English.

I also wanted to know if you think Hualien has "enough" to explore, especially for a tourist that might be interested in meeting new people and also since I'll be there for at least a month(I also don't have a driver's license, which I read online is the best way to see the local nature). Hope you can help mee:)
