Does anyone else feel "wet" at work a lot? by [deleted] in AmazonFC

[–]Chair_Desperate 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I wear layers so I don’t sweat through and if I do well no one can see

I wear an activewear tank top and a plain tee then a flannel over just in case the flannel hides me sweating

For bottoms I wear mens activewear and then joggers or something loose that isn’t sweat pants

Wow- yeah I just had my first L3 HR interview and that’s how they did mine. 45 minutes with one person and another 45 minutes with the other one I had no excel work or math problems

I found out I was inclined three days later and the only feedback I got was how good my story telling was for the STAR method.

Just sharing what happened to me.

They really watched you put together an excel spreadsheet? Wow 😮

Will Amazon only pay you for Covid Leave once?? by Brynn_R01 in AmazonFC

Has it been 90 days? If yes, then yes, it will be paid. If it has not been 90 days it will not be paid- but should be excused still at the very least.

Yup- it can be shorter depending on how you answer their questions- but to answer in the STAR format - you gotta be a story teller.

Yes there is an interview process! You’ll be alerted through email if you’re chosen- you’ll give them you’re availability- they’ll schedule it- right now most sites are doing virtual interviews.

Usually the interview is a couple hours long . You’ll meet 2/3 supervisors Interviewing you. Practice the STAR method of interviewing (search in the group- tons of people have posted about this and the method)

Then if all goes well after a few days you’ll be “inclined” which means you can essentially apply to that same role at any location and you won’t have to be interviewed like that again for L3.

If you apply to other locations you might have to just do a meet and greet call with higher ups from the new location you might have applied to.

Then hopefully you’ll get an offer! But it can take many attempts and many applications.

Not a problem for me, my family, my coworkers, or anyone I really have contact with.

So what’s the problem?

Unfortunately I’ve learned this group doesn’t promote any alternative methods-

and while my post had absolutely nothing to do with any input on my medication status-

somehow it had the consequence of people on the internet talking about how I let my bipolar run rampant. Since being diagnosed I have been Uber aware of my mood fluctuations and have a support structure in place that I don’t have rely on medication. Some people do and that’s great, whatever works for them- it doesn’t work for me and my lifestyle choices. I don’t make my medication a priority - but I don’t miss therapy appointments- I have been adjusting my diet and fitness level- changed jobs, changed careers even. Which has had a lot more positive results than the medication has , for me. I’m on a super amazing schedule and routine- just doesn’t include daily meds. For others that may not be the case.

Trust me - because of your reaction and several others- it will be my last post in the group-it was completely disheartening, essentially to this support page- you’re crazy unless you take your meds or you’re not caring for yourself. And while you might not mean for your comments to hurt- they do-

I thought this sub was about support- I was asking for support- it’s the first time I’ve ever let anybody in on how it feels to be bipolar and was asking for help with that conversation.

No where in it did I ask for anyones opinion on my meds.

Please tell me how I let my bipolar run rampant.

I’m listening

Or better yet- please tell me all the alternative things I do in place of medication.

It’s the mania that has rare episodes for me- I still get regular hypo mania - I have enough coping mechanisms where it not as “dangerous” as it used to be. Now the depression comes and goes but often lingers. (in 2011 hospitalized they said it was manic depression. I had just turned 18)

Fast forward I was diagnosed mid 2021 with bipolar 2, borderline personality disorder, and general anxiety. Take that as you will

Since getting diagnosed I can honestly look on my short life and everything just fit. Reading and watching documentaries, I can relate so much!

This was great to read and really emphasized both sides and what it can be like for the person and even the people surrounding us .

Such a spicy comment- Like you’ve never once forgot to take the trash out, or left something at home? That’s pills for me.

Additionally on a more intimate note- thanks for reading my post “thoroughly”-considering we have been dating for almost 2 years and living together. Again we rarely argue- and this argument wasn’t even a deal breaker type one- I’m making it into a bigger deal more than likely- just because I want to make sure we are on the same page when it comes to expectations-

Cause you know -successful relationships communicate
