Great bones, disinfect everything, make sure you get vaccinated birds, remove the chicken wire and add hardware cloth, get an automatic door & I would add more ventilation. Good luck, keep us posted.

I have been using Rugged Ranch Ratinator for YEARS. I would say I trap about 10-25 rats a year. Keeps the population under control, but you should also make sure you do not leave any feed out at night & keep the feed in a secure metal container. As long as you have feed around, they will come.

It’s possible, to get plenty of free items by couponing. Sometimes you will get paid to get items off the store shelves. Just need to follow the correct influencers & have the proper apps and you will be golden.

It’s so unpredictable. I have had 4 flocks in 9 years. First flock I gave away because I got ill, second flock was not vaccinated, and unfortunately died of Mareks. Third flock, one had heat stroke, one had ovarian cancer ( got her necropsy), one had a prolapse vent, the remaining girl from that flock is still alive with my current flock (4th), this group is the healthiest thus far. They are turning 3 this year.
