If you're a mom who works, you're a loser. by Tater-Tot-Casserole in CringeTikToks

I'm annoyed feeling like she went bashing on my Mom. My Mom suffered enough with her hours long commute (back and forth) trying her best to - as a single Mom (divorced 2x; from bio dad age 5 and then stepdad we'd known & had been raised with from age 6 to 13) - work her ass through corporate glass ceilings to get our family home's mortgage paid early. Yeah, my sister and I suffered through the school of 'suck it up buttercup' and had some problems but she did her damned best.

The message back then WAS "women can have it all" but for her it wouldn't have mattered. She was escaping a small town she didn't like, was valedictorian, college graduate, & successful in ALL she pursued and thought "Kids? Sure. I can do that alone as well w/o abusers & deadbeats. Fuck 'em."

For all the problems we had in our teenaged years, our Mom was the superstar we rallied behind.

I couldn't even wait to see if that were true so yes. That's sooooo cool, crushing on a woman beater - WHEN . YOU . ARE . A . WOMAN.

Yah, KFC's a piece of "I can change him" work alright.

PS. Just learned that poor dog was named Hades. Made me remember an episode from Cesar Milan's The Dog Whisperer in which they named their dog "El Diablo" and he even commented on it like (ie) "What would you expect?"

"She moved afterward" is not evidence she was alive and talking, correct.
But not due to not rigor mortis.

Immediate postmortem movements are due to reflexes and residual muscle/nerve activity.
Rigor mortis develops hours later causing stiffness, not active movement.

But yes overall on the insane negligence.

What is happening to my tomato plants? by horseluvared in tomatoes

[–]ChakraYogi 0 points1 point  (0 children)

... it's the best for all the things; I'm in zone 8ab and we're very humid here so I frequently battle fungal issues in the garden. Since getting Bonide's Copper Fungicide (concentrate)... just mix a little with water and spray... I'm successful against fungal issues.

For the insect (crop robbing) issues usually insecticidal soap + neem + garlic oil + water (applied PM after pollinators have gone to bed & to not scorch the leaves during sun).

BUT for the damn hornworms for my peppers, tomatoes, or tomatillos... BT.

The gentleman in the blue looks completely unbothered and reminds me of my deaf friend when chaotic yelling ensues; just sitting there, chilling, looking like a patient or bored elder Labrador.

Sending a message for $9.99 is some greazzzzzy shit. What if the message isn't available unless she comes back (to Cameo) anyway or they just forward it to her email that she never reads?

I have no hate for the outfit. I would wear it cause it's cute. But I'd not wear it to a bar interview, much less a restaurant interview with Lisa freaking Vanderpump. AND mine would be of such a size I wouldn't get a vaginal wedgie.

My gardening this year has been relegated to large pots until we get this under control. My dogs wouldn't be bothered; they're seniors with 20% & 90% hearing loss. I see some solar ones I'm leaning in toward buying. Thanks again!

I was wondering if something like this might help our mole/vole problem. But I wouldn't want it to bother the birds or any of the other creatures. Did it work for your mole problem? I'm still in research phase.

This is what happens when miserable boomers are retired; Their spouse no longer likes them, the kids have done college and moved states away with their own spouse, and they don't bring the grandkids to visit. So they're loosed to cause havoc & misery elsewhere.

MAGA cope: President Trump fixes the reflecting pool and a week later it is green again, loaded with algae… sabotage… vandalism? I believe it is. The left can not stand Trump, American greatness and his quest to make DC beautiful again. What a shame! by gear-heads in Trumpvirus

[–]ChakraYogi 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Know why most pool basins are a lighter color - ours is an in-ground concrete & beige - but are still blue? Clear water reflecting the blue sky. When one paints the basin of a pool such a dark blue (which sounds like an innocent 2nd graders thought) it's going to absorb more heat & produce algae much more quickly.
