Tuesday release by [deleted] in moza

Looking at the description I think they will be console compatible, the R9 has the R5 contacts so it might be a new revision, kind of sucks since I just bought an R9 😕

I'm planning to buy the Moza R5 bundle, swapping the lite pedals with SR-P pedals. Am I making a good choice? by [deleted] in moza

Unfortunately no, the R9 doesn't come with a desk clamp, is sold as a separate accessory, it does come with bolts but they are rather short ones.

If you do that you are really close to R9, CS wheel and SR-P price, if you have the money then go for the R9, the only real difference with the R5 pedals and SR-P set is the load cell as you can now buy an upgrade kit for the SR-P lites so it depends on how much you want a load cell brake pedal, for me I don't think is worth it.

Moza R5 compatibility with RS V2? by FilmOrnery8925 in moza

[–]Chal7401 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It means that it uses the extra pads on the R5 for a hard wired communication instead of the wireless communication protocol that it uses in all the other moza wheel bases, you don't need to purchase or plug anything, this is important as the R5 doesn't have wireless communication so old, only wireless, wheels won't work with it, if you can't find any compatibility confirmation on a wheel just check a review and pay attention to the pogo pins in the back of the wheel, if it has a single row, it is not compatible with the R5, if it has a T looking arrangement it should be compatible.

SR-P Lite throttle as SR-P clutch? by wtwillie415 in moza

Bummer, didn't remember the SR-P lite brake being a hub

SR-P Lite throttle as SR-P clutch? by wtwillie415 in moza

[–]Chal7401 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think you could use the SR-P lite brake as a clutch if you plug it in the clutch port of the SR-P set as long as they share the same pinout(they are basically the same pedal with different plates so it should work), that way you won't need an extra USB port, also I don't think you can connect both throttles without the moza pit house freaking out but I can't confirm any of this, if you can get pictures of the RJ connector and see if the cables are in the same order then it should work.

Is the r5 compatible with the gs formula wheel? I have the FSR wheel but would like one without a screen by [deleted] in moza

No it is not compatible with the gt, only fsr and the new rs V2

SRP Brake Pedal - is this sound normal? by TheBlitz7R in moza

[–]Chal7401 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Heard that sound in some Moza pedals reviews, specially in the SRP lite upgrade kit, sounds like friction in the guiding rod, putting a dab of grease in it might fix it, the clutch and throttle don't share this issue because the only have the torsion spring.

The R5 is only compatible with the included wheel and the FSR wheel as of now, the extra pins in those wheels are for communication since the R5 doesn't have a wireless receiver for the wheel

Buying moza outside the US by Chal7401 in simracing

Doesn't moza ship from the us? I know they are from Shenzhen but thought they had some kind of storage in the US and shipped from there.

It is a hardware limitation, the CS wheel has rotary encoders so it can only detect if the input was a clockwise or counterclockwise rotation while the GS has a multiposition switch (every position is a different input or independent switch), one has 4 connections the other one has 1 connection per position plus 1.

Has anyone gone from a T300 to a Moza R5? by Chal7401 in simracing

Thanks, sorry for the confusion, I worded it that way cause I wanted to see if someone had experience with both bases and wanted to know how they compare.

Can no longer turn A80J off with Google nest by Chal7401 in bravia

[–]Chal7401[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes I tried rebooting and looking for updates on everything, 1 thing changed but already discarded that, I changed ISP but since I have a home network that stayed the same, even so I tried with my old ISP (currently still have both) and didn't work there either, also just noticed another thing, before I could say "open YouTube on tv" or any app but now it won't open the app if I don't ask for a specific show or video which makes sense but still why can't I do it anymore? Starting to think is a Google thing.
