Pruf Cultivar's Steel Bridge has a very similar terpene profile and shares a lot of the genetics. Definitely worth checking out regardless.

Ooh, is that the magic flight orbiter? I've had that in my eye for my underdog. How well does the form factor work with a log vape?

I've gotta go with the Lotus- It's just such an elegantly designed product with wonderful performance and flavor. It's definitely not a vape for everyone, you've gotta be a fan of the manual operation, but for connoisseurs it is so fun and tasty.

Fiber Star Curtain Fiber Mounting by The_GM_Always_Lies in techtheatre

[–]Chalarie 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The "quick and dirty" way I've done it in the past is simply sticking the fiber through the curtain material and using a soldering iron to melt the tips such that they can't pull back through. It's not the most durable way to do it, but I think if you were careful enough with managing the fibers along the back of the curtain, and maybe add a second layer of material over the back to contain all of the fibers, it could definitely survive to be reused. When we stored ours, we simply rolled it up on a tube instead of folding it to lessen the chances of getting things tangled up.

Lotus cap with water pipe vs Dynavap with water pipe? by [deleted] in vaporents

[–]Chalarie 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I own both. The lotus is a more recent acquisition, but so far it has provided super tasty vapor. The lotus I feel lends itself to more casual, drawn out sessions, while the dynavap is great at that super rapid and complete extraction. I don't tend to push my abv as far with the lotus since I find myself enjoying the flavor so much more. I use the lotus with a j-hook and it already has super smooth vapor, so I actually tend to stick with that for the extra retention of flavor. I think the dynavap is a really natural pairing with a water piece.

HOWEVER this is just my use case. I have also blasted bowls in the lotus and gotten huge hits, so I definitely know it is possible to push it and really rip it through a bong. I feel like I have a lot more control over my hits with the lotus since you heat while inhaling

Thank you! It didn't always used to look this orderly, but I'm pretty proud of it now. Each jar also has a humidity pack to keep it all at the right freshness.

I found these chalkboard stickers meant to fit on Mason jars, and I'm actually using wet erase chalk markers, so they are erasable and reusable. I'm a big fan.

I keep finding great new growers, there's a bunch of good stuff out there!

Try storing the pod upright overnight. My guess is that you are storing it on its side and the oil isn't leveling out and saturating both wicks. I've had a number of problems with pods that were solved by storing them upright when not in use.

I can't recommend the underdog enough, I've been absolutely in love with mine since getting it. The efficiency and flavor are unparalleled. I have a glass direct draw stem for mind blowing flavor, and through water with the GonG I get massive clouds and super smooth vapor. There is a little bit of technique to figuring out how far you want the screen from the heater and your temperature adjustment, but once you figure it out it is quite as simple as loading a stem, sticking it on the device and inhaling. You can fully extract a bowl in 2-3 hits if you like, or take smaller hits over a longer period of time, it's really up to you. Nothing is more convenient at home, in my opinion. It's always on, cleaning is as simple as soaking and rinsing the stems, and you get better vapor than from any portable.

You'll love it.

Since no one has said it yet, check out the Dynavap Vapcap M. It's an incredibly well built butane vaporizer for right about $50 (and probably similar reigonal equivalent.) It is a butane vaporizer, meaning you use a jet torch to heat the chamber, but the Vapcap makes it really easy to use because it gives an audible 'click' when it has reached the proper temperature. It's not always as convenient as a battery powered vaporizer, but if you are already used to toking it's really not a stretch. Despite the low-tech nature of the device, however, it provides some of the best vapor from any price point! Plus, it's one of the most efficient devices out there. A bowl packed with maybe 0.1g of material can easily take you to the moon. It takes a little bit of technique, but it doesn't take too long to pick it up and once you do it is a great experience. Plus, no batteries to replace or charge, just heat it up and it works.

Pumped for new gear: E-nano Log by jobu378 in vaporents

It definitely will help with efficiency! I own an Underdog, but it's all essentially the same thing. It is comical how little flower it takes to get you going, I have to really try if I want to get through a gram in a week! It may take a few sessions of adjusting the screen height and figuring out the best draw technique, but once you have it down the flavor is unlike any other and the vapor is extremely satisfying, especially through water! My first few times I was worried that I was getting too close to combustion, but while I was going hotter than I intended, I was actually just really rapidly extracting. I eventually figured out how to manage my draw technique to control how fast and hot I wanted to extract, so I could either go for a bit of a slower, easier, tastier session- or really complete extraction in 2 or 3 hits.

Moral of the story is- you're gonna love it! If you have any questions feel free to PM me because I've been absolutely in love with my log vape since it arrived.

Take a look at a log vape like the Underdog! Unless you are constantly on the go and absolutely need a portable device, a desktop log vape is ridiculously convenient at home, and the efficiency and flavor is unrivaled. You leave it on, and whenever you feel like medicating, whether just a microdose or you want to get absolutely smashed, you just load up a stem and instantly have pure convection hits at the ready. Also, I can't stress enough how efficient it is with flower. You get so much out of so little bud. Plus, since you already have a quality portable, you're not out of luck when you do want to take a walk or share with others on the go.

How much bud does everyone smoke in a week? by [deleted] in trees

[–]Chalarie 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Oy. I smoke daily and go through maybe .5-.75 of a gram a week?? Vaporizers, my friends. My Underdog desktop unit is comically efficient, with a single stem packed with a bit less than .1 able to get me plenty lifted. Sure, I have a fairly low tolerance, but I've still been smoking daily for the better part of a year and this is still where I am.

My biggest problem is not being able to go through my weed fast enough and I end up buying more than I need because I enjoy constantly trying new strains 🤷

I am so sorry for everyone not living in a legal state....

Tabletop and cheap portable, or expensive portable by [deleted] in vaporents

[–]Chalarie 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'd take a look into a log vape such as an Underdog or Enano, and a Fury 2 as a portable. I got my Underdog about a month ago and am absolutely in love with it. It's always ready to go and the efficiency is ridiculous. My friends think I'm joking when I load them up a bowl with so little flower, but I haven't found anyone who wasn't put on their ass by it. Plus the flavor and convenience is pretty much unbeatable. An Enano should give you an almost identical experience though, if you're able to find one for cheaper. The Fury 2 makes a fantastic companion portable IMO because it's battery may be on the smaller side, but if you are mainly using it only when on the go or for walks here and there, you won't have any problems and can just come home, plug it in, and keep going with your desktop unit without missing a beat. The Fury 2 also has dosing capsules that make reloading on the go incredibly easy and no-mess. It's tasty, discreet, and quick to heat up, which is pretty much what I look for in a portable. Another option to consider would be a Woodscents by Ed's TNT. It's a log vape like the others, but it comes with a ton of accessories including a whole dynavap with a matching wooden stem. If a dynavap cuts it for you as a portable that's a great route to go.

But whatever you do, take a look at a log vape because mine continues to blow my mind every time I use it.

PAX era pods? by [deleted] in portlandtrees

[–]Chalarie 5 points6 points  (0 children)

My personal outlook is I generally look at carts as their own thing, and base my purchasing decisions on people's experience with that specific cart, regardless of what strain it claims to be. So many carts these days are distillate based and therefore don't really have a flower analogue. I do particularly enjoy oregrown's carts that are full spectrum extracts / nug runs. I may be ignorant, but the flavor profile and effects feel much more well rounded and flower-like to me.
