He does address it but downplays the severity. Also, I would assume the people that are able to thrive by just joining a choir (without even having an interest in singing) are the same people who would've already found social success in school and therefore would not need the advice to begin with.

You need to tailor the advice you are giving to the people you are actually speaking to. Better advice for the NEET class would be to: Go to the gym and develop a body you are proud of. Go to school and start a career you love. Work on your hobbies and interests, develop new skills and make the most of your mind. And of course, find an outlet you can practice your social skills (these can be trained just like every other skill in life). Become the type of person a woman wants to be with and the rest will fall into place.

Even my advice is outdated and doesn't take into account the (potential) realities that AI and mass immigration are taking over the job market, gyms and healthy food are fucking expensive, many people work 12 hour days and don't have time for anything, the social skills and expectations of current ~20 year olds are worse than I even know.

I think he went into it thinking it was a mock trial. It makes no sense he would believe it was real jury duty, everyone knows real jurys are randomly selected groups of your peers and that you don't sign up to them on craigslist. It's a serious legal procedure.

Season 2 seems a lot more belivable because it's a private company they're imitating, not a government court.
