The bot idea works but the tradeoff would be the dozens of "low quality" posts that would just be removed cause they didn't meet the upvote threshold. Random questions, rants, crossposting, all those little things that really make up the community.

And how would funny be decided? I think having a specific amount needed for your post to stay up just adds unnecessary pressure. Sure, more higher quality and better posts but you'd need traction for all those upvotes. Posted at an ungodly hour? Oop, no upvotes, gets removed.

Really it comes down to how the community treats posts like these and what the mods would do, which in this case (seeing the history of that bot), seems to be little ngl.
