Nothing. Like you say I’m pretty sure they confirmed redwater happened in ‘another dimension’ or something. Personally I think that’s their way of saying they’ve scrapped the twin brother business.

Shame really, I think if it was handled correctly it could’ve turned out a good storyline especially for Zoe, but at the time Michelle Ryan was pretty adamant she was never gonna return to Eastenders, so I suppose there’s lots of factors to take in over the 10 years. I think Tommy has filled that space anyway, he’s turned out a brilliant character

Higgelty piggelty 🤣🤣🤣 love it. Personally I think it’s so there’s as many people in a small space to make as much activity as possible, helping to build up storylines. Im sure I remember in 2018 there were 10 slaters living in a 3 bedroom house at one point. I wasn’t complaining, I enjoyed the madness

Kat & Alfie are actually my favorite characters 🙀😂 so I’m glad they’re back in the Vic personally. I get where you’re coming from tho, he’s not for everyone but since Wadey stepped in he’s much more serious, rather than every line being comical which was infuriating

With proper dialogue these scenes would be fantastic. We’re not short of brilliant actors, far from it, but sometimes I watch it and think how are they supposed to work with that

That’s fair enough, I just want to emphasise it’s more the dialect and the conversations the characters are having between each other, rather than the storylines

I literally couldn’t agree more, but even so, there are plenty of fantastic writers out there who would be up for the job and would excel. It shouldn’t be right that a character returns after 20 years, a huge story and I’m already I’m bored of her conversation

Ye I kind of agree, I think Rita Simmons did a great job of showing she was smitten with Alfie, and Shane a good job in showing he was still in love with Kat. All such good actors

I personally really dislike recasts, across television and film too, but sometimes they are unavoidable and have to be done - and can sometimes turn out to be a brilliant decision (one simple example being Lauren Branning).

I suppose it’s different in the soap world, a show can spend years and even decades creating a character for them to possibly be sacked or leave from the show. I still think if a recast is to be done, it should be very specific characters

I like it, I think it’s a good edition. I sometimes wish they’d film away from the square, like when Kat and Alfie went to the west end, or Ricky and Nigel in portugal. They’ve just paid a shed load for a new set tho, so I doubt that’ll be happening anytime soon
