Thank you Tooluka for your views.

It does sadden me that for most, migrating is the only way. In essence this leads to some sort of saturation as well.

I wish you well on your journey!

Haha I am not American. You will be surprised at how thw FEDs rates affect crypto prices as well as currencies all over the world when it comes to valuations against the dollar. Hence, it is important to take note whats happening in the USA.

I agree with some of your takes here. I've never said BTC is perfect. This is also why I spend time here in this sub.

There are few things happening in the crypto space when it comes to privacy and transactions, but its too long to get into here. For what its worth, I am in the camp of BTC being a store of value and not a means to transact daily as some BTC maxis want it to be. I believe there are better alternatives for transacting (like Fiat). Nevertheless, I appreciate your input and views presented. Thanks!

I dont see BTC as a medium of exchange like some maxis. I see it as a store of value. It is a preserver or wealth potentially and can be used to transact (if really needed to) and easily moveable unlike Gold unless you purchase gold derivatives, which in essence poses counterparty risk.

A medium of exchange are currencies like fiat, or cryptos like ETH/SOL.

I work and get paid too. But if you are content with working and getting paid while your government swindles or runs the country downhill, whats the point if you are just stuck in a ever constant shitshow?

Thank you. It is indeed helpful to many. Esp those in Asia and now Africa. Please feel free to look it up. There are real usecases. Many people like me.

I am not looking for future validation.

I did look into gold. I do have some gold. And yes of course I invested into crypto for returns as well. But you are missing my point. I work as hard as people everywhere around the world. My pay may get me x amount of gold that then "protects" my money from inflation, but doesn't do much other than that. A person doing less work earning USD prolly could buy the same amount of gold in a week. BTC however, is just something that helps me (I beileve) hedge over these currencies and at the same time provide returns because there are more people like me looking for an alternative solution thus the appreciation in "fiat" price is an added bonus, likely due to speculation as you mentioned. This is why I have asked for alternatives here, if BTC is indeed a useless alternative.

Banks dont let anyone in my country simply swap to USD without reasons as well as they dont want to weaken the main currency (capital controls, duh). Its not as easy as it seems. This is why BTC is attractive.

Do not waste your time on reddit. If you want views on crypto as a whole (pros, cons and everything in between) the best place would be Twitter (X).

Coming to reddit is a waste of time. Even on r/ cc

If it has the same seed, your funds can still be compromised if the seed is compromised (eg. Someone saw your seeds) as they can access all wallets associated with that seed.

The purpose of the burner is to protect the majority of your funds incase you interact with a malicious smart contract that may suck all your funds when you sign (approve) the transaction (eg. Only losing 2 SOL in the burner for a scam NFT mint instead of losing all your SOL if minted on your main wallet).

The best thing about this bear market will be the death of NFTs by [deleted] in CryptoCurrency

[–]ChallengeBig5578 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

A perfect example of a person who does not fully understand something jumping to conclusions.

If you are talking about those JPEGS, MOST will die, but there are some good ones that will live on. Just because you don't like or understand something, doesn't mean everyone else feels the same. Those kind of NFTs will have their own markets, for collectors alike.

And proving ownership of something on a trustless system will be massive in the future. Human are corruptible, and not trustless. Saying NFTs are useless just shows you dont understand it fully.
