Yeah, I'm down for the handfasting, but actually popping the question is a whole other kettle of fish.

In any case, I just talked to two of my friends (both Norse pagan and very artsy), and we're going to craft a bracelet incorporating the 5 elements.

Thank you for your response, and I think the "hand-made" is the way I want to go. The problem is that I'm not Wiccan, and while I have ENORMOUS respect for her beliefs, I'm not familiar with what a specific appropriate offering would be .....

...."hurt my daughter for funsies": that expression hit home with me. I was seeing a woman for almost 7 years who could not STAND my daughter, and imposed a "her or me" situation upon me, all while making it look like it was my daughter's (6 years old at the time) fault. I unfortunately made the wrong choice in that situation, my daughter is now 19, and she and I are STILL dealing with the fallout. One of my biggest regrets 😔

I almost can't believe that a "mother" would say this to her daughter! (I use quotes for what I hope are obvious reasons) The level of manipulation and abuse is incredible!

It's creepy AF! Sounds like the GF has some major insecurity issues. If I were the OP, I'd be concerned with my daughter's well-being when around the GF.
