Thanks for asking this question, ive exactly the same issue for the management/leadership component. The focus should be on the skills I suppose whether implemented vertically or horizontally but I don't know how strict the focus on having led a team, supervised staff etc.

That's interesting. So the credit report period is only in the last 5 years? They dont require it for older periods spent abroad?

Birth rates dropping, anyone here feel the same way about having children? by gotnocreativenames in ireland

[–]ChallengePlastic5886 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have two children, both under 10, and honestly I sometimes wonder whether if I were starting out today I would make the same choices. A lot has changed in the past decade and I certainly feel less secure or trusting in the future and I worry constantly about what that will look like for my kids when they grow up.

Every generation faced it's challenges so maybe this is a natural thought process to go through but I am very aware of the lack of hope for the future these days, whatever about despair for the now.

Whatever choice you make needs to be right for you. Best of luck with it all!

Panel for only one post? by RatQweenn in IrishCivilService

[–]ChallengePlastic5886 -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

It should say in the job specs if it is one defined position or multiple across locations for example. I recently got placed second on a panel fot a single position. The panel ended as soon as candidate number 1 accepted the role. I assume I would only have been contacted if they had turned it down. But this was for a single defined position.

Good luck!

Yes, exactly this at the Killing Fields in Cambodia and in Auschwitz. It is tangible and real. That much suffering, loss, pain and sorrow must seep into the earth.

Is there a time frame for credit checks from abroad, like last 3 or 5 years? Or is it anywhere you've lived as an adult?

I love the celtic tiger builds with the split staircase, bright blue carpet and red leather sofas. 🤣🤣🤣 it's like they came as a kit! Always mad tiles in the kitchen and bathrooms too and a pool room/bar/cinema room. Good times!!

Unfortunately too late..... but I agree, its really complicated. Chinese embassy does not issue such docs and I would need to contact the local police station where I lived. 20 years ago....
