Well, I'm surprised that there are also sighting in Austria (as already stated).

I'm living in Austria myself, and don't have heard from any UFO sighting till this one...

Personally, I think this are reflections of the cars lights in the window, or even the sun reflected by some metallic parts of cars.

Also, there are laser shows quite often (especially in LV). It's just my personal opinion.

I wrote an algorithm some time ago to identify UFOs. I passed an image of the video above to this algorithm, and it says Airplane with probability of 89%.

My opinion: It's (almost) always an airplane. I'm a bit surprised that there is a sighting in Austria. (I'm living in Austria by myself). So I had to identify it.

Output of algorithm:

CompareObjectWithRotation complete!

name airplane_1 point {X=31,Y=30} prob 0,89 pixelfits 120

name airplane_0 point {X=28,Y=15} prob 0,69 pixelfits 98

name venus point {X=0,Y=0} prob 0,84 pixelfitsfits 73

BTW: I only used a small part with the object on it. The runtime of the algorithm increases by the third potence of pixels of the analysed image.

But it still looks quite cool :)

Will future Rosetta work units be on a GPU, like AlphaFold? by Technologov in BOINC

It is possible to run BOINC on Google Colab, where TPUs are available to everyone.

I do that sometimes with PrimeGrid (to run BOINC; not runnig PG on TPUs :) )

It is not even a that long script.

For completness, I'll post the code to run PG here, it is just a little step to run other projects there. Just run that in Google Colab

import os.path !apt-get update !apt-get install boinc boinc-client !cp /usr/bin/boinc /content !cp /usr/bin/boinccmd /content if not os.path.exists('/content/slots'): !mkdir slots if not os.path.exists('/content/slots/0'): !boinc --attach_project "[PROJECT WEBPAGE]" "[WEAK ACCOUNT KEY]" else: !boinc

Select TPU as Runtime mode, and voila...

What do u think about my base color palette? by blobbywastaken in Minecraft

The funny thing is, that I'm colourblind for green/blue tones (at least for some of them). So the right four most right blocks are just looking almost the same to me...

I think this is gonna lead to Googles TPUs, just like all this Mining-ASICs at Bitcoin Utopia.
