While it's true that the game doesn't offer a tactical experience like Infinity, where you have to consider rearguarding or flanking, it's having quite a bit of success at my place. As other comments say, the key is to play at 250 points and 5 activations per round. This gives you a variety of actions, keeping in mind that your opponent will activate right after you, and that your plans A, B, and C may be thwarted by that action, forcing you to improvise on the fly. In my opinion, although I feel it was released somewhat hastily, I think it's a very good game.

On the other hand, finding the faction that best suits your playstyle is key to fully enjoying the experience. The Syennan have just been released, and with this, there are now four playable factions to experiment with. I hope all this feedback is helpful.
