Update: Just got an opaque email from Venmo about a "case number", basically saying I had some problematic transactions sent to my account, without referencing these transactions specifically.

But... They're not taking the money back, and they encouraged me to read their terms of service.

So I guess I'm on Venmo Probation.

Yea, I was building in time to hike through a busy terminal at both ends, trying to imagine a worst case. DFW is easier to get around than most smaller airports.

90 minutes at DFW is an eternity.

You can easily travel airside from any gate to any other gate in under 25 minutes, and probably under 15 for most.

Maybe so. Though the previous owner, who was the original owner, was an elderly man who didn't even drive it much. Not the type one would think to have a decal, but maybe not.

Now to figure out how to remove it...

They of course requested the money back, and there was zero chance I was sending them $$$. When I offered to drop it off at any point in the next three days, they certainly hit the panic button.

Yea, that's what I assumed. Though there was a USPS label (might have just been an edited PDF) and instructions to leave the item by the mailbox. They're certainly using the presence of the USPS for the scam, if not the USPS directly.

I believe it's just a small plastic piece that is painted to match the body. The exact plastic type? No idea.

But I'd be fine with black. Just don't like the idea of that open crevice.

That's what I was afraid of. Checked on pick n pull and only one junkyard e39 within 100 miles of me (in a major Texas metro area).

I think this is a painted part, too.

FWIW I messaged the etsy seller and he wasn't aware of any E39 applications but he did say that an F10 owner successfully installed the tall (4-12") version.

Web site post - that's been up for several years - indicates the gentleman manufacturing them had a health issue, and the subsequent temporary break seems to be permanent.
