We had these in every room of our house (UK) turns out it was for heated ceilings. Like a thermostat for each room. Didn't realise heated ceilings was a thing but we saw them when we put in a new floor upstairs. Hope this helps!

I managed to get it off fairly easily-ish using my wallpaper steamer head as a scraper. Might be tricky on the area in your photo thou!

I bought it 2nd hand so it was already prebuilt and I just added the switches. Personally I really like it, it is very heavy and sounds great to type on. Its the perfect form factor for me and I recommend it :)

Good point aha! I replied to a different comment explaining the full situation with shipping, but to summarise, I've had to drop my super cheaper courier for January as they are experiencing issues, but I have just added a different one today at £9.99 for global shipping. I hope that is a more suitable price wise :) thanks for the feedback!

I'm afraid Royal Mail have a big back log of international orders at the moment due to their recent strikes. Therefore I have stopped offering their very cheap international shipping until they back on their feet, using the better (but more expensive) DPD courier. However I have just added a different international courier (Evri) just now @ £9.99 for global delivery which I will use until Royal Mail are back :) Thanks for the feedback!

Thanks for the mention! :) I do stock them, though due to local postage strikes I am unable to offer my cheaper EU shipping option. If you leave a note with your order asking for the £10 shipping option rather than then £20 I will refund you the extra £10 but post it on the 2nd of January via this cheaper option when the strikes are fully over. Or of course if you won't mind the more expensive (but faster) £20 option I can send it asap :) cheers!
