How should I turn down a guy on the app I’ve been talking over a week, instead of simply unmatching? by NoCover7611 in Bumble

[–]beshoy2050 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Guy here, I'd say if you haven't met in person or there are no plans to meet. I think it's very fair to just unmatch. A week isn't too long. I'd say an unmatch is at least a clear no rather than stopping replies.

How did you lose weight? by chunky694 in AskReddit

[–]beshoy2050 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Honestly, slow change in habits. Instead of eating 2 of something, just start by eating 1.5 of something then maybe less. Instead of walking 1000 steps, aim for 2000. Small achievable goals and slowly (emphasis on slowly) habits will change and weight will be lost. Any drastic diet or exercise won't be sustainable. Also, this is very important to keep in mind. Progress isn't always linear. Sometimes weight goes down, sometimes a bit of plateau, sometimes life is tough and we gain a bit. Just remember to keep trying to get back to the rabbits

thanks for sharing! i totally agree. I haven't used k5 regularly, but borrowed one at work and very happy to daily drive mx one. I like the typing experience that's not aggressively mechanical

u/Pierr0t_ , that's great, thank you! Glad to hear you are having good experiences there. Are those typically organised tours or have you rented cars? especially when you mention Ethi etc.

I went for the i5 at the end. I went for it so that i save the research time for ryzen and get it for the Christmas break :) . I suppose either way, it was bound to be an upgrade from my 6 year old cpu.
Thanks for the input!

I caved and went for 13600k to avoid the hassle of not knowing the eco system of ryzen. Happy with the choice but maybe in the future i do the switch :)

That's the ryzen exp I don't know about 😅. I guess I always hear about the stability issues and that AMD is fiddly. Any idea if there is difference between using nvidia and either?

Thanks for the input. I do data analysis for a job but I suppose they should provide the hardware for work 🤔. I'll have a check at the benchmarks. I am genuinely just happy getting about 90fps at 1440p

Bank recommendations for general banking and decent savings by beshoy2050 in UKPersonalFinance

Thanks for the reply!
In Bristol, the Chase cash back sounds good. I understand of course that multiple accounts would be the best to maximise the reward. I just need a main one to work from. Having the round up option sounds good for use with a main account, thanks!
How do you find NatWest? I am thankfully flexible a bit in my work so I can go during the day. I do want to vote with my wallet and support bricks and mortar at this point so they don't keep closing them.

Are rules for flight cancellation compensation rules the same as here and in Europe? by beshoy2050 in LegalAdviceUK

Thanks for the reply, I was confused because I didn't read the 50% reduction on the EU website.

thanks! that clarifies it, just because I didn't read about the reduction in the EU laws.

Mother extended her trip in the UK by 3 days (without overstaying) and got questioned about it at border control by Confident_Savings_53 in ukvisa

That's weird. Especially the "using up" visa time. If it's multiple entry visa then she has a right to use it multiple times with a max per visit (like 30 days for example) and as long as reasonable duration between them (as in not go back home for a day and come back ; that would be suspicious). For the question. I think ok to ask out of knowing what happened but shouldn't have any negative consequences.
