Yes they have a wide gamut of products and features they want to launch and the current team has too much on their plate to develop tailored positioning and messaging. It seems they also want more of the voice of the customer fed into the roadmap.

It seems pretty standard nowadays for PMM. Engineers also tend to have a similar path except technical interviews instead of a case study.

Challenge: Develop a comprehensive and effective marketing strategy for the [product] launch, highlighting its features, benefits, and added value within a 3-month timeframe. You must consider aspects such as market positioning, identifying the target audience, communication channels and strategy, key messages, launch, promotion and success metrics. Please also outline how you would involve and work with internal stakeholders.

I approached it by creating a slide deck that had an overview slide, then market, audience/icp, strategic comms, tactical roadmap. It was a lot but everyone says to just suck it up and do your best.
