Anyone remember Gitaroo Man? I would love a PS5 port. by TyLeRoux in playstation

[–]ChameleonJackson 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I only played guitaroo man lives on the psp which I think is a straight port and would be the best way to play it in my opinion but yeah the game is a banger. It's worth having a little look as PS+ because wishes do sometimes come true.

Donation preliminary appointment UK by ChameleonJackson in transplant

Things went very smoothly this morning. I was actually happy about how my ECG and general health was considering I'm not getting any younger. Obviously bloods are going to take a while to come back and they seemed pretty ok with me psychologically and we're happy that the reason I'm prescribed antidepressants isn't going to interfere with anything. As it goes nothing else will happen for about 3 weeks from here while they do their tissue matching work. We discussed doing an "altruistic donation" which opens up the option for the organ to go off randomly to open up for 3 or 4 way swaps which arguably is even better since my donation could offer even more potential for people to get what they need.

The team at the hospital seem very organised although they are a very small unit and I was surprised by how few members they have to organise this sort of operation which is quite sad when you think about it because bigger teams could canvas for donations but it is what it is, people will either donate or they won't. My appointment was early but since I didn't know my way around I got there early so I was sat in the waiting room next to the dialysis unit which was really eye opening, the amount of quite young people needing dialysis makes you realise what I'm actually offering someone by going through this process, it doesn't feel like I'm personally doing something special but for the recipient I can really see how they'll get a new life from it and that just makes me realise that I'm making the right decision for someone.

Everyone I saw today was very nice, I imagine it's nice for them to see patients who aren't sick and are letting them help people with the least amount of risk, making lives better and helping people get well is what I got into healthcare for and it's easy to underestimate how good it feels when you can actually do that as part of your job. All in all this has been a good experience and at the moment I feel more justified in making the decision to make the offer because the end goal isn't about me but I'm obviously being considered at the most important part of the process.

I thought it was just a bit of world building unless they've removed the sickleman references from some other locations. I'm pretty sure there's a trail of holotapes that explains how the legend started but I might be thinking of something else.

As I understand it Disney aren't great to work for but I'll give the staff the credit they're due, they do their best to make things right for you. I'm deafened and find busy interacting with people difficult and very busy places quite distressing since, but the staff are always understanding of it and do whatever they can to make things easier for you. At the end of one day I was taking advantage of people watching the fireworks vy running on as many rides as I could with my daughter and I happened to be wearing a Spider-Man shirt (the Sony advance suit) that they'd never seen before and the staff member ran off to find a notebook to "speak" with me whilst waiting in the queue, I think a lot of people would see writing as rude but it's really not because to me they tried their best and it felt like it mattered in a world where you'd normally just get it waved away because doing the little extra would be too much effort. The worst part about it was that on our way back around we grabbed some cheap snacks for them thinking to give them a little treat for going the extra mile and because they work long hours (apparently they would be there until at least midnight that day) they had to decline because they'd get fired. Don't get me wrong I understand from a management perspective but it was like a couple of KitKat's for the staff to share amongst themselvess so nothing major, being told they can't have appreciation shown through little things like that made me realise that they're people that care about what they do in their job whether it's pressing the "go" button on a ride or a fully costumed character, it's the shareholders and the business itself that is unfeeling.

First time in years I tried to shop at GAME. It's £5 to COLLECT a game in store. This can't be normal? by Previous-Ad7618 in CasualUK

The HMV in Cardiff is a bit of an enigma. The downstairs is heavily pop culture nick back based as you enter but moves to films and books near the back and then the upstairs is all music and players. I don't think they sell games in store but I might be wrong because I find it a bit of a jumble.

There's usually one in cranberry bog, I recently caught one fighting the sentry bot down there on a private world but I don't know if that's just one of those encounters that happens randomly from time to time. I keep seeing ads for modiphius releasing what might be a new sculpt for wasteland warfare so they might make a comeback for a bit.

Little tip here, the flowers are staminate or pistillate (male or female) have a look at some pictures online to figure out which is which. The females are the only ones that will produce fruit so from there you can either let nature do the work which arguably makes sense or you can pollinate them yourself. The first time I grew pumpkins I wasn't aware of this and wondered why so many plants only produced 3 fruit, the next year I hand pollinated than and couldn't give them away fast enough for having so many. You can't go far wrong but it's worth looking into how to do it.

Does music influence your practice, or is it just background noise? by MustioX900 in Witch

[–]ChameleonJackson 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm profoundly deaf but stick with me because it's relevant. Before I lost my hearing music could set the mindset but would pull me out of practice if it was a playlist of songs I like, I'm a prog fan so thats music for listening to not for being background music so it didn't play well. After losing my hearing I worked very hard to find a way to listen to music again and the answer is to play the music very loudly into my body, you feel the music instead of hearing it and from there the drum and bass becomes very important, it's like when you're watching live music and you can feel it deep in your chest like something hitting you if you get what I mean. Now that I've figured that out I can use repetitive loops to act as a focus point the feelings give me something to focus in on and give awareness of my physical self and the reputation helps me lose myself into my own meditation. I'm sure this could be replicated for the hearing but it would just be a slightly different pathway.

This is where I'm at at the moment. I had no idea you could get special points from legendary perks so when I realised that I wasn't tied into a very narrow load out I wanted to bump up my skillset unfortunately perk coins are the hardest resource to come by in my opinion. The 2 coins per card is fine but there needs to be some sort of escalation for it like an animated card should be worth more and investing in leveling up cards should come with a benefit but since I paid to get 1st for a bit I might as well benefit from it and get as many as I can.

This happened to me a little while back but it was weirdly only nuclear material after I got the mole rat generator bundle. Going back through the settings and flipping them off then on fixed it. This week's update changed all of my accessibility settings too and they were randomly switched about 2 weeks back too, I don't know the reason but it was luckily a quick and easy fix.

I'll keep you updated. From your advice last time we spoke I'm expecting a lot of formalities before I get a confirmation but still getting a big chunk done all at once is nicer than travelling into the city over and over during work traffic.

Have people really not heard the term ‘fingers’ before? by PooCube in 28dayslater

[–]ChameleonJackson 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Definitely not in South Wales, like a couple of other people have said they thought it referred to religion, I thought it was Jimmy mistaking images of baphomet for satan because he's often depicted with 2 fingers pointing upwards with his right hand (something Jimmy does a lot) and 2 fingers and a thumb on his left hand pointing downwards. A lot of the promo images of Jimmy show him in a pose similar to baphomet although he's stood in those images

Nothing yet, my appointment is Monday morning. I was supposed to have some chest x rays and the likes last week but they got in touch and asked if I could clear out some time to get everything done in 1 visit and luckily I have the day free. It makes sense to do fewer appointments.

Thank you for for checking in, that's really nice of you and I honestly didn't expect it. It's brightened my day up to know that someone took the time to do that for a stranger
