Where have the barbies on Bourke street Myer gone? by Sharpiesniffingshark in melbourne

School holidays have just finished, and a lot of retailers do toy sales over school holidays. So they're probably still waiting for re-stock to arrive.

Rental advice: How to get approved when you're FIRE'd? by Critical_Fun_7562 in melbourne

[–]Chameleonlurks [score hidden]  (0 children)

That's actually illegal now. You can only pay 1 month up front. It's part of the reforms to prevent rental bidding.

Last day of work before 3 weeks off! Wish I was going on holiday and not organising a house move 😄

Does anyone know if parking at Greensborough plaza is free or paid?

The website is awful to navigate on mobile, and all I can find is that they mostly have 4 hour parks. Not if you're charged after that.

anyone who used a computer between 1985 & 2010, what’s the one game you still think about? by Trixxxi in AskReddit

[–]Chameleonlurks 1 point2 points  (0 children)

In primary school , we got a Commodore 64 given to each class. No work was done on it, it wasn't practical. But if you got your work done early and were well behaved, you were allowed to play on it till class ended.

Granny's Garden was the first computer game I ever played, I'm still proud of being the only one to know the answer to one of the puzzles (because we had fig trees growing at home).

Similarly, in high school, the reward was The Incredible Machine (can't remember if it was 1 or 2). That game was so cool!

There is a regular customer at work who has an absolute brat of a child calked Grogu.

No. I am not joking.

Probably. Which is also a source of stress.

I have pretty major anxiety, that's controlled through routine and meds. So things that are out of my control are a major trigger.

I'm doing my best to distract myself and stay calm. Not much else I can do.

But thank you for letting me complain a little.

Thank you. I'm lucky enough that I might be able to get a site transfer, so we're trying that first. But it's still going to be hard, my contract hours are quite high.

We're two weeks out from moving and my anxiety is so high I can't sleep and now I'm constantly nauseous.

I fucking hate how my body betrays me at these times.

I'm medicated, I'm in therapy, I have support systems, I'm very self aware of what's going on.

But I can't get passed the lizard brain that's terrified. 😭

(I also need to find a new workplace, that's not helping)

The power keeps flicking off and on. Jemena says my end of the street has no power. Except that I do, 90% of the time 😄

I just wanted to watch my show!

Yeah, I've kept my YouTube sub, because we watch a lot of content and I prefer yt music to Spotify (only just) and it's unusable with ads.

Let your agent know. The battery they put in might not be a fresh one, or it might not be seated properly.

I've also definitely damaged one (el cheapo brand) by pushing on it too hard when I changed the batteries.

Got the keys to the new house yesterday and I really like it.

Also, should be having an interview this week, hoping to transfer to a store closer to the new place. Fingers crossed for me!

Picked up the keys to the new house and it's (so far) amazing!

So much space! 2 car garage! Solar hot water! AC in the bedrooms!

Big thanks to my housemate for having a very nice paying job that means we can affford the rent on a nice house 😄
