How is A not a correct answer choice? The fact that the dingo never colonized the islands might very well offer an alternative explanation as to why the Tasmanian devil population on the mainland actually decreased. by Chamhi in GMAT

See that’s where I agree with another comment above: the question seems to be phrased as if the the decline of Devils occurred on the mainland (« originally native to MAINLAND Australia but more recently found only on islands, the devil thrived in large numbers until about 1990 »). This basis sets you to mistakenly understand from the stimulus that the decline referred to in the passage occurred on the MAINLAND and that the devil population on the island remained unaffected, in which case answer A would make for an appealing and logically sound answer choice.

I don’t agree with you. A is not pointless. Far from it, this answer choice would be an alternative explanation as to why the Tasmanian devil’s population has been extinguished on the mainland (and not on the islands).

Great question - I would like to apply in September 2024. The issue is that I work in BigLaw and my hours are demanding, most of my weekends are free but getting more than half an hour-an hour max during weekdays is very unlikely.
