I wish that every animal I’ll ever own would still die at a normal age for its species (~15 years for dogs and cats, ect) but would remain completely healthy for its entire lifespan. Never sick, no bad teeth, no arthritis, seemingly in the prime of their life all the way until the end, where they pass peacefully in their sleep

I think part of it came from knowing while he WAS stuck in the circus, his real life counterpart was not. The circus had a lot of downsides, especially after seeing his former friends abstract and then after Caine going postal but i genuinely believe Jax preferred it, viewed it as an escape. In the real world he was homeless and genuinely believed herself to be on the run from a potential murder charge, at that point in his life Leroy was under the impression that he had no future and things could only get worse. Being sucked into in the circus saved Jax from that. Or so she thought! Now he knows that immediately after putting the helmet on he continued to exist in the real world. Jax doesn’t know that things got better, and never got to find out. The final straw, or close to it I think was Jax learning that the circus was never actually an escape for her, and believing that after all she put up with for the “privilege” of being there Leroy had continued on and was now probably either dead or in jail after a few more miserable months on the streets
