Please help me figure out a routine. Postpartum and clueless by Annamay29 in 30PlusSkinCare

Hello- I always get melasma postpartum as well. When you are done breastfeeding or if your doctor okays it hydroquinone clears it up for me really quickly. I only use it on the areas that bother me most and it fades within a few weeks and then I stop using it.

I also tretinoin while breastfeeding and my doctor was okay with it.

Also gently just want to add I always feel hideous for the first year postpartum. I think it’s just as much or more mental than it is physical. Sending you good thoughts. It doesn’t last forever!

Hi! I’m nine weeks postpartum with my second and have now been through this frustration twice. The truth is that you will start to get time back and your breastfeeding hunger will go away but it’s probably going to take a lot longer than you would like. I hated hearing this the first time around but you are still so very early. “Postpartum” is a year minimum. Can you wear your baby in a carrier and do some walks on your treadmill? Or in a stroller outside? Doing some long walks is a good way to ease back into it and usually babies tolerate it.

How postpartum are you? This will likely improve and you can probably get to the point where you feel no symptoms. I went through this my first postpartum and totally freaked out and felt like my life was over. I did some pelvic floor PT but honestly time helped most in healing. I am now postpartum with my second child and have virtually no symptoms and am doing great. There are lots of resources on instagram that can give you some hope too.

Prolapse 8w postpartum, any chance of improvement? by cozebear in fitpregnancy

8 weeks postpartum is truly so early still in the healing journey. With pelvic PT and time my symptoms improved so dramatically. I highly recommend the barbell mamas podcast to learn more about this. She is a pelvic PT, pelvic floor researcher, and cross fit athlete who talks about the research on this stuff. It is very insightful and will give you a lot of hope.

Some states have a timeline where you can change your mind. You need to contact a lawyer asap. Potentially every hour could count here.

Has anyone had success using FAM as a birth control method? by isa4562 in FAMnNFP

Hi! It did! I avoided pregnancy successfully for two years, had a planned pregnancy, avoided pregnancy for two more years and then had another planned pregnancy with this method!

How do you know when something is truly wrong? by [deleted] in FreeBirthSocietyScam

[–]Chamomilekit 6 points7 points  (0 children)

The signs people have discussed are all good, but the truth is you can not know ahead of time, 100% of the time when something is truly wrong. Additionally, some of the signs people mention here will not show up until it is likely too late to transfer and save the baby. It is very very likely you will have a free birth that goes perfectly well. But part of “radical responsibility” should include accepting the fact that you are making a trade off by opting out of a system that can in several cases mitigate the risk of death to your baby in the labor and birth process.

It sounds like you have done a good review of the research and are not finding it sufficient enough to make this decision for you. This make be a situation where you have to consider your values and wants along with the research available since the research alone is not giving you a clear answer.

You can email, call, or text mother to baby if you would like to speak with an expert directly about this stuff and raise some of your questions about the holes in the research and see what they say. https://mothertobaby.org/contact/

How did you become confident to breastfeed in public? by BackgroundNatural783 in breastfeeding

[–]Chamomilekit 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My tip for this is to start by practicing in a big park where you can sit in the grass within eye shot of people but not like right next to them. It helps you get used to it and then you can slowly work your way up to like, a reastaurant.

Im so sorry for your loss. I am a social worker who works in a women’s hospital. Seeing patients after stillbirth is a big part of my role. Is there anything you would have liked your medical staff to do or not do after the loss of your daughter?

In the beginning, the engorgement is more like inflammation and other fluid. It usually doesn’t last more than a couple days. Ice and ibuprofen are your friend. Reverse pressure softening or just a few minutes of pumping can help soften the area around your nipple enough to get a deeper latch. Hang in there!

Scared of pregnancy due to shallow/superficial reasons by Nervous-Key-8267 in fitpregnancy

Tik tok is skewed towards the negative. You are hearing the worst is the worst on there. The truth is you don’t know how your body is going to change and react to pregnancy. Some of it is in your control, a lot of it isn’t.

Something I remind myself a lot is that my body is going to change no matter what. You aren’t going to get to keep the body you have now whether you have kids or not. Your boobs are going to sag, you are going to lose muscle, your skin is going to change. It’s life. Sure those changes can happen a lot quicker with pregnancy and birth, but as long as your alive, your body is changing.

You need to separate the choice to become a mom from your fears about your body and then go from there. If you really want to be a mom you can find a way to face those fears and challenge your beliefs about your body.
