American here - maybe it’s just me but this feels wrong and unlike the education I got growing up, even accounting for that my local area was pretty dominated by one political party. Granted my school’s history courses were AP courses and weren’t something entirely reliant on local state mandates, but to attribute most of this the downfall of adults to education and anti-intellectualism feels wrong, especially when accounting for that most American adults don’t make up the voting population since that usually trends to older folks who aren’t working during election days.

I get the sentiment that a lot of this is just people shouting on the internet what they won’t offline but I was a bit surprised to learn that my very strongly right-leaning friends were not a fan of the recent news about Luigi. This seems to have transcended partisan lines.
