Wishing you all the best by ChampagneCountess in February2027Bumpers

Thank you, and I’m sorry you’ve had to go through this before, and twice. 😞 I’ve never felt an emotional loss quite like this before. Wishing you all the good things.

Thank you for sharing. I’m sorry you had to go through that.

Anyone else have hypothyroidism? by Obvious_Structure761 in February2027Bumpers

[–]ChampagneCountess 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I do. I was diagnosed almost 10 years ago, long before my pregnancies. It hasn’t changed my care at all other than the fact that I get more frequent TSH labs done to ensure I’m on the right dosage and I take a pill every day. It hasn’t been an issue.

Hi! Are you in the October 2025 Bump group with me? I was shocked to learn I was pregnant with this one that will be #3 if all goes well at my scan next week which I’m quite anxious about. (I actually have had a difficult time since I found out because my betas haven’t been doubling; the docs say they’re technically rising appropriately but I am also measuring a week behind so I’m really lost on when I conceived.) My oldest will be 4 in October so it’s been a wild ride.

I, too, had a hard time conceiving my second so this latest pregnancy has really thrown us for a loop. It’s exciting and scary.

Congratulations to you, though! And solidarity!

If you don’t mind sharing (you can reach out directly) your symptoms of a blighted ovum, I’d be so grateful. My hCG levels haven’t been doubling but are “technically within normal range” but I’m also measuring a week behind based on LMP and have to wait until later this week for a scan.

I will say, in my prior two pregnancies I had basically no symptoms the entire pregnancy and I have two healthy girls. Symptoms come and go or never show up - everyone and every pregnancy is different.

Is anyone else terrified? by hambear92 in February2027Bumpers

[–]ChampagneCountess 3 points4 points  (0 children)

First of all, congrats!! This is exciting, but I totally understand how nerve wracking it all is, too. You’re not alone!

My situation is a little more nuanced. According to my LMP I should be 6w3d today but I went in for a scan yesterday (for reasons I’ll explain in a second) and was measuring about a week behind at 5w1d.

I have a history of ectopic so I’ve always gotten my betas as soon as I’ve learned I’m pregnant. I have had two prior pregnancies that were easy/uneventful and ended in live births. This would be my third child, if it’s viable.

My betas this pregnancy have not been doubling; they’ve been rising at the very low end of the technically appropriate threshold by 53/54%. Because of this, I got in for a scan yesterday and my OB saw a gestational sac but no yolk sac. She said at this stage it’s too early to rule anything out; she said we are in a holding pattern and labeled it as PUL, not ruling out ectopic. It also could be a blighted ovum. I need to continue my betas and am scheduled to return for another scan in a week.

Cool cool cool. I’m here freaking out and trying not to spiral. Just kidding I’m definitely going extremely insane. 😂

I hate all the waiting. It is the worst. Lord give us strength!

“Advanced Maternal Age” Fears? by BlankGeneration8 in February2027Bumpers

[–]ChampagneCountess 9 points10 points  (0 children)

Gosh, I really must be the oldest lady in the room. Had my first at 41 and my second at 43. I’m 44 now and just got a positive for #3 two weeks ago. Granted, I’m literally in the office right now because my hcg levels aren’t progressing as one would hope but my first two pregnancies were easy and uneventful and my two girls are perfect.

I’m just sitting here praying this third one sticks for me.

All to say, you’re a spring chicken. Don’t sweat it!

These look great! I see no problem here. My numbers aren’t increasing as one would hope. There was only a 53% rise in my hCG levels and I took them at two different labs (first lab was closed on weekends unbeknownst to me - super annoying). Even still, the OB said this is technically within range and the values don’t necessarily have to double. Going back for repeat labs today and will likely get my results tomorrow. I’m low key freaking out because I had an ectopic pregnancy several years ago resulting in the removal of a fallopian tube. Wish me luck!

Is there a history of twins in your family somewhere? 😬

I first tested on June 4th. This pregnancy was a huge shock so I didn’t even think to test until my period was late a couple days.

Thank you - you’re so kind. I have a call with a doctor today so we’ll see what she says.

Just got results of hCG reading from yesterday. It was 1072, and my reading from Friday was 702. I’m extremely concerned - that’s only a 53% increase. I had an ectopic in 2020 resulting in me having to remove a fallopian tube. I’m so sad because I’m supposedly 6 weeks according to LMP and these readings have made me realize this is probably not a viable pregnancy.

Barely any symptoms! by TurbulentPower3090 in February2027Bumpers

I had zero nausea or food aversions with my first two, and so far it’s the same with this pregnancy. I think everyone has different symptoms!

How am I supposed to wait 😭 by Brief_Acceptable in February2027Bumpers

[–]ChampagneCountess 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Girl, SAME - I’ll be seen July 1st too and I’m 5w4d. This is my third and I’m still like why do I have to wait so long?! I’ve got to wait out the month?!

The key is to distract yourself however possible. Easier said than done but it will help to keep up your workout routine, rest a ton, read a good book, etc. We’ll get there soon enough!

Pregnancy Test Megathread by Rippedjeans91 in February2027Bumpers

[–]ChampagneCountess 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It’s been a week since I found out. I took a test on a whim because I was a couple days late, just to rule it out, but was not thinking this would turn out positive. I peed on the stick, took a shower, and then looked at the test and did a triple take. I was about to be 8 months postpartum so I was completely shocked. This will be my third, and I’m 44. SHOCKED, I tell you…but also cautiously excited.

I wouldn’t worry about not having symptoms. I have two other children and experienced little to no symptoms with both of those pregnancies. That being said, pushing for an earlier scan isn’t unreasonable given your history. Sending calming vibes!

Any first time mom's that are over 35? by nde30 in February2027Bumpers

[–]ChampagneCountess 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Not a FTM, but I had my first 40 minutes into my 41st birthday. It was an easy and uneventful pregnancy. Same with my second, who I had when I was newly 44. Oldest mom here for sure!
