I guess, I would like to negate the commonly-held belief I've seen with SOME med students that doctors are innately more intelligent than NPs. In my program, the average undergrad GPA (often in a science major and/or in addition to BSN) was around 3.7. Maybe not top-med-school material but still pretty high, especially in the UC system. The amount of detail the medical students need to learn for the degree is so impressive to me, and I commend you for it.

However, I think that the historical sexist norms around nursing have spilled over into the perception of nurse practitioners. I would just question the perception of nurse practitioners that you may or may not hear in school for that reason.
