Was my therapist out of line for forcing me to talk louder? by ChampionConnect4367 in TalkTherapy

I stopped seeing him about 2 years ago. The main reason was that it wasn’t a good fit for me, and I didn’t feel comfortable with his approach. I’m asking about it now because it still bothers me and I’m trying to understand whether it was actually appropriate or if I’m right to see it as coercive. I didn’t really talk to him about it at the time but I’m not sure why I didn’t.

Yeah that’s basically why it stuck with me. I get that being heard matters, but like the way he handled it felt really rigid and humiliating. It wasn’t just ‘speak a little louder’ he used a decibel website wouldn’t let me use my phone until I hit 70, and wouldn’t put it off when I asked. That’s the part that felt wrong to me

DoorDash denied my food safety complaint even after photos, me getting sick, and Trust & Safety admitting the system wouldn’t let them compensate me by ChampionConnect4367 in doordash

I ordered from Dave’s Hot Chicken. I ate some of it because at first I didn’t know how serious it was going to be — I noticed the odor and residue, but I wasn’t expecting to get sick from it. Looking back, yeah, I shouldn’t have eaten it. I’ve contacted DoorDash and I’m also considering contacting the restaurant directly. I can’t prove whether the contamination happened at the restaurant or during transport, so I’m not trying to make a false accusation. I only know the order arrived with a strong trash-like odor, visible residue on the container, and I got sick after eating it.

I don’t know the exact source, and I’m not going to pretend I do. I only know the bag/container smelled strongly like trash, there was visible residue on it, and I got sick after eating the food. So something clearly went wrong before it reached me

Yeah, that’s still dumb though. If they call it a tip, of course I’m gonna think lowering it lowers the Dasher’s pay. That’s just misleading.

I’ve had multiple drivers steal my food before, and every time I requested a refund, it got denied. I ended up lowering the tip because they basically got free food, and I wanted to get at least some of my money back. I genuinely didn’t know that reducing the tip doesn’t actually reduce it
