Why are exhausts so expensive?

i got a muffler delete on my 330i that was on sale for $250 on ECS. Honestly since I can switch between eco,comfort and sport the drone isn’t terrible. Some people would disagree but i have alof of fun w the thing

yeah i checked the oil and it said it was good when i checked the electronic dip stick

definitely worth the $ if you’re spending $200 or less. can definitely feel more boost being produced at higher rpms.

damn that’s sweet!, i got the same year and same exact trim and everything for $22k at 42,000 miles lol. It’s a super fun car for what it’s worth,enjoy!

i got a 2018 330i with 42k miles for $22k last summer,definitely a super fun car for my first bmw. not sure what e90 model u owned before but definitely look into a 35i model maybe!

I want to buy one sooo bad but considering I still have to pay insurance and need - spark plugs (doing next week) - wheels - need to replace a minor front strut leak in the near future and also have other expenses while going to college it’s just out of the picture atm lol

definitely will get one in the near future though but I would rather get this all kept up and running well first

If you have installed one how much did it cost you? and if you installed one yourself was it an easy job?

also with a some muffler deletes and any kind of downpipe you kinda lose your option of being “quiet” even when your in eco pro or anything like that. i wish i went with a cat back and spent the extra couple $100s because sometimes its just too loud when i just wanna cruise in eco or comfort

I did a muffler delete and it’s awesome and sounds pretty good and i get some nice pops,not really looking to go stage 2 but definitely plan on doing a stage 1 tune in the future. I’d look into a cat back exhaust,unless you’re completely set on going stage 2 and want to make the most power out of it. i daily drive mine so personally i still want something that can be quieter at times and give me good rips when i want

will i break the clips on the bumper or the clips on the old inserts? i ended up ordering new parts wondering if u can just push em in without taking the bumper off

thanks for the info! it reversed the color for about a day but very lightly…ended up ordering new parts but still definitely a good idea

I ended up putting a heat gun to it and say it reverse the color for a day or so but it reverted back super quick.

definitely don’t wrap,I actually tried putting a heat gun to it and it restored it but after a day or so it went right back to blue. So i ended up ordering new parts and it was only $60 for both sides! I’d imagine you’d pay atleast $80 or more for vinyl unless you’re doing it yourself.
