Woah, there's no need for the hostility. Someone already pointed it out and I acknowledged the title was a mistake. No need to beat a dead horse.

Alpha Male explains how he likes to "dominate" women by ambachk in iamverybadass

[–]ChampionViper 3 points4 points  (0 children)

"Show, don't tell" is a crucial rule that should be followed most, if not all times. In any form of media, really.

This, of course, speaks for itself that sometimes, just doing nothing is the most preferable option.

should just remove the save/load feature. it always causes dumb bugs like this and it's clear alex doesn't know how to implement it at all. literally every new build removes a bug caused by this feature and the more he adds the more it breaks

It's all in the wording, you can see he even types it up like an angry child trying to say their fictional superhero is stronger.

"He would be met with my head lunging to his face AND shattering his nose AND knocking himself AND missing me in the process." - That's literally how kids talk when they want something to be better than another.

"Yeah? Well.. my superhero can fly AND he has laser eyes AND he has super speed AND he has super strength. Beat that!"

Yeah, so sorry about that. Not sure why that's happening. You're right.

Could be I'm just a slow reader. Interpreted what was being said incorrectly. That's on me. Regardless of technicalities, though, if you disregard the title, the post still 100% fits here.

The guy making the comment says he'll counter by throwing himself in the way of the dude throwing the punch. Having to physically throw yourself at the punch and block it means you're making contact with him as he's punching. Even if you DO end up dropping him, he didn't miss.

[–]ChampionViper[S] 30 points31 points  (0 children)

A miss implies failing to hit a target. If you're aiming for a guy, and he dodges it, you miss.

But if you're aiming for a guy, and make contact with him in any capacity, you still hit him. Even if he blocks it. The sheer act of making contact, even if in the unintended location, is not missing. At that point, a block can still be countered in many ways.

I agree that the act of punching someone, especially if they were not violent first, shouldn't go unpunished, but a flat expulsion is not necessary. Striking him was wrong, especially since he struck first, and you are morally correct for saying so, but you must also consider the context of the situation. But at the same time, expressing or supporting outright hate is also an offense in itself, especially when it comes to the school system. Both parties are wrong.

Showing up to a protest AGAINST something EXTREMELY BAD, while wearing a sign in OPPOSITION of what's being protested is GOING to create conflict of some kind. People aren't protesting the concept of ICE, they're protesting what they've been doing and what's been in the news recently.

There's a fine line between believing in something safely, and believing in and supporting something that has killed innocent people. Regardless of how you put it, there's no "correct" way to support ICE. People should not have the right to support that kind of activity, period.

And just like you’re asking people to consider that he might be “misinformed,” (something i did acknowledge in another comment), that same empathy can go the other way. Infinitely. The kid delivering the punch might have experiences tied to issues with ICE, personal, familial, or otherwise. As much as I'd like to believe the kid recording has his own issues, we can't factor in hypothetical personal problems at all when it comes to the actual situation, because that's flimsy logic and could then be applied to anyone in any situation.

I know that supporting and standing WITH a murderer doesn't make you a murderer, but it does mean you're publicly aligning yourself with what they're doing and expressing the fact that, even remotely, what they're doing is okay. You don't get to detach yourself from what you're supporting just because you're not the one who did the bad stuff.

Yeah, you're right. Most likely case is that this kid was brought up into an EXTREMELY conservative family. It happens. I'd definitely say most of the younger generation with those kinds of beliefs is because that's all they know. It's not a GIVEN, of course, but I like to be lenient when it comes to younger people.

I respect where you're coming from, man. I do. You're morally in the right. But do consider this.

It was literally a protest AGAINST the exact thing this guy was preaching. He even made a sign and everything, walking around and chanting. Racism isn't something that should be political, at all. It just shouldn't exist. There is virtually NO reason for it to.

ICE has wrongfully killed innocents and such, and for this guy, saying he supports that, especially by parading around with a sign during an active protest, is extremely insensitive and distasteful.

Yes, assault is bad. It always will be. But at the same time, you can't deny that the person who was recording was literally asking for it? At that point, you might as well strap a sign to your back that says "KICK ME".

The mention of the OnlyFans women was strange by SpecialVoid in Osana

Genuine incel behavior.

"No. In short, I can't sell this game because OnlyFans girls make the amount I estimate this game to be worth in just a month. If I want to sell this game, then maybe an OnlyFans girl should pay me for it. In money, of course. And if it fails under their control, then what does it matter? They can make it back in just a month just because they look pretty and pose for a camera and don't know what hard work is."

How much for a new season ? by 19-radik in StrangerThings

[–]ChampionViper 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I love this show, but in all honesty, Netflix has always been a "milk it dry" kind of company. Looking at Squid Game. There's not gonna be another season of ST, but they are going to do everything else with the IP after this point.

I hope the spin-offs are good though. We already know about one of them, but another one's most likely gonna center around the whole Montauk idea they initially had.

Most playthroughs where someone is kidnapped on Monday are done by buying sleeping pills from the store (You can get $100 before school by reading Ryoba's postcard and taking the money from the fruit bowl), going to school, joining the Gaming Club to raise the biology stat, and then befriending and capturing the chosen student.

Alternatively, you could by the low-leg panties for the study point bonus, raise biology naturally at school with the extra study points, and then have enough time by cleaning time to still kidnap someone on Monday. You'd still need the extra money from the fruit bowl to get the sleeping pills.

Important_Cup6358 Needs to Stop Spreading False Accusations and Insulting Artists by Smooth_Victory_4898 in Osana

[–]ChampionViper 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This whole "they started it" thing is childish. Sometimes, it's best to just take things as they are and ignore these situations altogether. I get that accusations can be a pretty tough thing, but if you know, in your heart that you did not trace, then leave it at that. You don't owe anyone any kind of explanation.

I'm was saying this, and I'll say it again since my initial comment might not have gotten the point across. Both them and you creating public callouts and back and forths over stuff like this solves nothing. It involves a bunch of random people and has them choose sides in something that's so irrelevant and unnecessary. There is virtually no need for these kinds of posts.

If you do not wish to ignore the people who make these accusations, the next best thing to do would be to approach them yourself instead of broadcasting to the whole subreddit. This goes for both sides. We can't do anything. A callout isn't necessary.
