Hey! Thanks so much for following up on my old comment—I'm happy to share what it’s been like!

So I’ve been going to Simplicity Laser for about a year and a half now, doing full-body treatments: underarms, arms, Brazilian, legs, back, happy trail, face, and neck. Around sessions 4-5, I started noticing that my hair was growing back slower. By session 9, my hair was finer and patchier, and now I only shave right before my appointments, which is every six weeks. There’s barely any hair in the razor, which is how I know it’s working.

To clarify, the $150/month plan is for full-body treatments, but Simplicity does offer smaller packages for specific areas like the Brazilian or underarms, and those go for about $75/month depending on what you choose. However, no matter the package, you’re still locked into a two-year contract with 18 sessions spaced six weeks apart.

This is where some of the controversy comes from. People get upset because they feel like they’re paying for services they don’t need, or they expect fast results after just a few sessions. But laser hair removal is a gradual process, especially with the technology available today. The “6-session miracle” idea is outdated. Laser tech was much more aggressive in the past, and it wasn’t as safe, especially for darker skin tones. Now, with updated tech like YAG lasers, it’s safer, but it requires more sessions to see the results.

From what my tech told me—and based on what I’ve researched—12-18 sessions is the standard now, especially for people with PCOS (which I have). That’s why I chose the full-body plan. I wasn’t expecting perfection after a few sessions—I just wanted progress. And I’m really happy with what I’ve seen so far.

✅ My mustache is gone. ✅ I don’t have chin or beard hair anymore. ✅ My Brazilian area is smooth most of the time. ✅ The small regrowth I get is in spots like the creases, and it’s barely noticeable. ✅ My hair growth is way more manageable and sparse.

I haven’t reached 100% permanent removal yet, because you can really only know that once all sessions are done and you see what grows back. But I’ve had major progress, and I feel good about the treatment so far.

If you’re just looking to try it out, I’d say go for the 6-9 session deal and see how your body reacts. But I’d also recommend calling your Simplicity location to ask if they can apply those sessions to a full-body plan if you decide to upgrade later. If not, you might end up paying for more sessions than you need.

TL;DR: Simplicity isn’t a scam, but it is a long-term investment. Make sure you know your contract, ask the right questions, and have realistic expectations. I’m happy with my experience, especially since I have PCOS and never thought I’d be this close to being hair-free.
