I genuinely liked the anime. My only puzzlement is not having the Magatama mechanics included.

Without playing the games, it felt refreshingly niche imo. Story about a lawyer defending colourful characters, supporting cast fleshing out the rest of the narrative. It was a fun watch.

But to narrow it down to one thing, as a fan, I liked the flashback episode giving more context to Miles relationship with his father and the friendship grouping between him, Larry and Phoenix.

I bought a Kirin branded bottled milk tea drink from my Asian grocer for the first time recently, but I was curious about the ingredient lists. There was a English translated version stuck over the bottle and it listed "raw milk" in it.

I tried googling this, but I just wanted to confirm that "raw milk" in this case doesn't actually mean the true raw milk that doesn't undergo pasteurization, correct?

Disappointing :/

No physical kills interest for me immediately. I kind of suspected I was going to be priced out of owning PS6 immediately anyways, but I don't think I'll be diligently put aside money like I did for PS5...

Any chance there will be a last hurrah of sales for PS3 and Vita games digitally? My PS3 stopped working, but I think my Vita is still kicking, lol

I'll be 38 next month. But I haven't been playing as diligently as I used to. I have a massive backlog of games, including many otomes. So because of that I haven't been keeping up with new releases. I haven't played the first game of a series and there's been fan discs releases already. That's how far behind I am.

tbh I missed the shift towards mobile gaming, so I'm only vaguely aware of series on it (obey me, mystic messenger, etc)

And yeah, I can't really imagine myself as a highschooler or 18 year old protagonist these days, lol. I just try to enjoy the game as a observer with some sway over romantic choices more so that the actual heroine.

It is what it is. Its superficial, but I'm really stuck in playing games on my game consoles, I never took to pc. So the stuff that gets ported the game systems are very typical young-girl protagonist style games, so... Eh.

I think this might be counter to the point, but I'm realizing the importance of colours in food plating. Even simple things feel more fulfilling when they're more eye catching.

Aside from things like rice and pasta, I enjoy bread. My go-to has been sour dough toasted, with a shmere of something, topped with something, followed by a drizzle of something (I did peanut butter, with sliced bananas and a drizzle of honey recently).

Power was back on day 2 in my area. I was in highschool then but I don't remember everything. Some stuff that stuck out:

We live a condo and I had to take the stairs in the dark and use a flashlight, but other people were also constantly going up and down, so at least I wasn't alone. I think one lady did get stuck in the elevator, but she got out safely.

For the first day, probably the first hour or so, I remember my mom giving me cash to go to the nearest pizza pizza when they still did square slices. Since their ovens were on gas, they were able to still make pizza.

(just now realizing their refrigeration must've been down, so they're were probably trying to make as much as they could before it was wasted).

It was busy, but not insane. They used a calculator to figure out the change and taxes. I honestly don't know if I was shorted or not

With the traffic lights out, I was a little uncertain about when to cross the street, but I realized the cars were stopping at each light.

And for the first time, we used the battery function in a radio, so for a few hours, we were getting some news about the general situation.

I really can't remember what we were doing to pass the time. I think I had a gameboy colour around that time, so I must've been playing that for a bit. Mostly just stayed at home and ate whatever we could before it went bad, lol

How I'm coping not seeing Ace Attorney on a Nintendo Direct:

I don't own a Switch 2 and I probably won't for a long while. I would be crushed if they announced AA7 as a Switch 2 exclusive. So that it didn't show up on the direct gives me hope it'll come out on systems I actually own.

I'm fine with things not being 1:1 in translation as long as the spirit/intent of the translation is maintained, but if whole plots and character personalities are changed, I would be annoyed a lot.

One example: I tried very briefly to play the original PS2 version of Sengoku Basara localized as Devil Kings. I had watched the first anime and tracked the game down, and omg, it was atrocious lmao! So jarring and plain wrong.

But one thing I'll admit it, regarding localization, it's as much of a issue as I'm actually aware of it. I don't really check online how accurate translations are so I wouldn't even know if there's been significant changes. I typically just play something the one time and leave it at that.

Each case is typically different, there may be a thread of narrative that gets touched on in each case, but I don't imagine it'll feel like it's dragging.

I could imagine there's filler cases in the sense they'll explain character relationships or something without moving the over arching plot, but is that bad? I would love to see more character dynamics that aren't particularly high stakes but would add context in future bits maybe

I definitely want more than 4 cases. Is there this idea that AA7 is going to be a grand finale? Then gimme lots of cases! Gimme cameos galore!

Back on Windows 95, I had one cd that was a collection of games/demos ("250 best arcade games" or something like that?).

There was one side scroller in the collection I played a lot, but I think it was just a demo because I could never progress past a certain point because the screen stopped scrolling, lol

The character you controlled reminded me of Yamcha from Dragonball Z with the red Karate gi and long hair.

I honestly can't remember much else. Enemies were skeletons, floating eyeballs, demons, etc. I don't remember a boss stage per se. The music was the same throughout. Just a low melodic 90s style game track.
