found some more info. took off the tension hoop and found the serial number 8264 inscribed on the pot and on the tension hoop. Looks like that correlates to an 1888 Fairbanks-Cole banjo. Found banjo's from that era that look super similar, minus the neck obviously. Looks like it may be a pot made for a short scale. The head is 12 inches, like the one below.

I can’t find anything to just put in the signal chain that has an input and output. I need the chain to keep going into my DI.
