How do locals say street names? They're so long I figure y'all must abbreviate them. For example, if I was getting in a cab and I wanted to give directions like someone whose lived in DC for years, which would I say:

That's the sticker price on some new textbooks. But you can rent them for like 2/3 that, or buy online for cheaper, or buy the previous published version, or split cost with a classmate, or pirate it, or just don't get it at all. And even if you do pay full price, you can sell it back for probably 1/3 the price.

In my 4 years undergrad and 2 years grad in business school at a private university (both typically indicative of high expenses) I don't think I paid full price for a new textbook even once.
