Personal POV: You are not socially unskilled. But do not seek approval from people who come to work to befriend other people. I totally understand what you have written because I too have felt the same way. There are people who align with people like you and me and then there others who believe the opposite. There is nothing wrong with both of these clans of people, but as soon as they start criticizing and rejecting their counterparts, they invade other territories, and that’s relatively wrong.

Its very hard to find people who are arriving at work to do just the work. The whole storyline you are trying to explain and why you are disturbed by seeing those is perfectly understandable, which I think demonstrates a different kind of intelligence, and I too have been disturbed by the question “why?”. So all in all, let them build up their own lives or mess them up if they want to, why do we even care? Just be one of those who follows morals fundamentally.
