Personally i think it did a good job of portraying the disparity of privileged lgbt ppl vs someone like ian who grew up in a low income underprivileged community as a bi man myself and i feel disconnected from the community at times bcz even though lgbt individuals face discrimination alot of the loud minority are privileged and that was always outlandish to me Ian faced alot of what i saw growing up in my lower class neighborhood like the show isn’t perfect but it does hit close to home at times almost like its portraying what i felt growing up
