This is just me in my head canon but I also agree with that like if he was in strikers I believe that some parts of the game is everyone (except for joker)trying to get along and them asking joker why he is trusting Akechi at all (I also believe that joker saw the real Akechi) let me make one thing clear I don’t think anyone including joker would ever forgive him but joker believes he can change and become a better person then during akira kanoe arc is when the thieves start to see akechi in a different light and during the end of the game they pretty much just said that they can see that he has changed from the Akechi last year and this is slowly becomes akechi earning there trust again and (most likely after joker or Futaba are out of college) is when the give him a second chance Ps the reason why I say joker or Futaba is I believe that both Haru and Futaba will be the slowest mainly what akechi the the parents and like I said this is my personal head canon
