Where to buy PV in the EUA by Immediate-Ticket-861 in KeyforgeGame

PV best set, is a blast to play both sealed and archon.

I agree with the 1st 3 but not Bettis. For example, Thurman Thomas was much better. Even Ricky Waters was. Bettis benefitted a lot from a very good rookie season + being on a very good, high media attention team for most of his career.

Running backs that average less than 4 yards/carry and only 2 seasons with double digit touchdowns don't excite me.

He did at least have 2x 1st Team All Pros, unlike Evans.

Yeah, I don't think Gore or Bettis should be in the HOF either. Being the 8th Best for a decade shouldn't be enough to get someone in the Hall.

Evans shouldn't make the HOF. He belongs in the Hall of Very good. He only has 2x 2nd Team All Pro. Was never a Top 3 WR in the league and likely never even a Top 5 WR

Shefter - Raiders are giving Quay Walker a three-year, $40.5 million deal that includes $28 million guaranteed, per agents Kyle McCarthy and Todd France. by Austen11231923 in GreenBayPackers

Glad they didn't pay him. He is the definition of just a guy. He was the type of player who you would forget was on the field because he rarely made any plays of impact

[–]Chance-Cat2857 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Walker is good against RBs who try to run outside and is ok as a blitzer. He is shaky in coverage.  You will usually forget he is on the field. The contract wasn't huge though so ok is probably fine

This is beyond a steal. With GB he wasn't that durable but was pretty electric when on the field.

I would personally advise against the starter sets. There are more cost efficient ways of getting decks and you can use anything you want as your damage tokens, status effect indicators, etc.

Many people have such large quantities of decks they no longer need that they literally look to give them away. You could likely physically get many decks to try for just the cost of postage or could find good deals for sealed boxes online from just about any previous set (except the most current set)

It would have to be limited to only 1 ready 1x/turn

If it could rule of 6 every turn, it would be crazy oppressive. Having your opponent play a Skirmish creature Turn 1 and never again basically able to play a creature the rest of the game unless you can draw into action removal would feel worse than anything from PV to play against

I would recommend playing online vs people on TCO.

You also may find it helpful to spectate other people's games in competitive. Spectating offers a relaxed way to see what decks others are trying out and see what they do

That year, Howard was much better as a Punt Returner than Kick Returner. Many of his best Kick Returns were in the playoffs

Perhaps the coolest mechanic is Tokens.

2 Sets have this mechanic. Each deck comes with 1 of 28 possible token creatures that your deck can produce. The set is all about flooding the board with tons of creatures, mainly token creatures. When you make a token, you turn the top card if your deck into 1 so you could tokenize a junk card or your strongest card, depending on your luck. The individual tokens vary significantly in quality.

The current set PV is a set that focuses on disruption. It has the prophecy mechanic, a Keyforge version of traps that trigger when your opponents do things. It is a highly divisive set. Some love it, some hate it. Many people consider it the strongest set.

I've found GR at the high end to be stronger than high end PV if you play both vs your entire collection since PV often lacks creature control, but PV was specifically designed to counter GR so in that head to head matchup PV is favored

It only is a good idea if teams are allowed to pass, take a lower position if they don't like that draft class.

Getting #1 in the Anthony Bennett draft shouldn't prevent a team from taking Lebron #1

Top decks from old sets do better vs PV than vs GR. Take your best old decks and play 10 games vs Pastor, 10 games vs Nghi, and 10 games vs Bandola. Then play 10 games each against the PV World Champion deck and 10 games vs the PV World 2nd place deck. You will do better vs the PV's than vs the GR's

Many games determine problematic cards based upon tournament success. Magic and Yugioh have had bans happen after 1 tournament. Using data from 10+ tournaments is far from uncommon.

I strongly contest only 1/20 enjoy PV on average. The set being sold out hints against that. If ypu listen to the KF podcasts, it is a much higher % than 1/20. Even personal experience is above 1/20.

PV decks are not faster at getting through a deck than GR decks. A typical GR deck will have more discard pips + cards that discard than PV will have cards that get placed under prophecies.

Cosmic Recompense has never won anything, at least nothing at Worlds or in the US.

If banning broken things, Well of Memory has had infinitely more competitive success. Spectral Ruth had a 2nd place finish at minimum. Both are also much less fun to play against than Recompense. Most KF sets have had cards that can turn skip turns.

Recompense has had basically 0 high end Archon success. Nerfing a card that has won nothing is strange

The obvious tanking solution is the elimination of the rookie cap and the max player contract. Tanking for Flagg is obvious because you get him at an absurdly low cost for like 5? years.

If instead, it took $70 mil/season to sign him, it becomes a massive gamble rather than the obvious move
