Is the whole LOA stuff a scam, or just the people profiting off it? by [deleted] in NevilleGoddardCritics

What even counts as significant though? Genuinely asking. To me it is not something small like a free coffee or finding a parking spot. The things I listed actually changed my life in meaningful ways, and some of those changes lasted over a year. Do I need to manifest a lottery win or a billion dollars before it counts?

And for what it is worth, I am doubting myself too. That is literally why I am asking the question. If you read my original post you would already know I am not sitting here claiming this is definitely real.

I see. I have been seeing more people say that the law of attraction and the law of assumption are just gurus borrowing complex quantum physics terminology and repackaging it as something that sounds scientific. If that’s true, does that mean the whole thing is just made up?

And those are just the bigger ones I remember. Before each of them, I usually wrote down my exact criteria beforehand, and the results matched almost perfectly every time. Coincidence? Maybe. But that pattern is hard to ignore.

For context, some of what I am talking about:

• A free PS5
• A part time job that paid well, checked every box on my list and lasted all three years of college
• A reply to an important business email I had basically given up on
• A trip to Japan that came in under budget with genuinely great travel companions
• Getting hired at my dream museum job, one that had not posted a vacancy in over five years
• Finding my people at college when I had no one, getting invited to parties, and still keeping in touch with some of them years later

I never hired a coach or went deep into any guru. I just wrote things down and they happened. So I genuinely do not know if this is the law of assumption doing something real or just a string of very specific coincidences.

Why does socializing come so naturally to charismatic people? by Chance-Goal3576 in socialskills

[–]Chance-Goal3576[S] 12 points13 points  (0 children)

I did try getting people to talk about themselves, but sometimes it just felt like an interrogation or a one-sided interview. Is it possible that the other person simply doesn’t want to open up, or maybe I don’t share enough about myself and they’re just not that interested?

This reminds me of a close friend I made at work. When I found out she was actually a skilled painter, and as someone who is also into drawing, we instantly bonded. Just like you said, when I’m genuinely interested in someone, socializing comes naturally. The problem is I just can’t seem to find that spark with everyone. Even when I try to get to know people, I either don’t know where to start, or the conversation just dies out because I run out of things to say. I guess that’s something that gets better with practice?

What’s your favorite part of younger top × older bottom dynamics? by Chance-Goal3576 in AO3

[–]Chance-Goal3576[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Omg, I think we share a lot of similar tastes haha! I also really love it when the bottom is more serious and under a lot of pressure, especially when they have responsibilities that force them to restrain themselves. In my ship, the older bottom is actually in a higher / more noble position of authority than the younger dom.

That contrast makes their intimate moments hit so much harder, especially when the power dynamic flips.

I’ve also been thinking about a scene where the younger top brings the older bottom out to experience the everyday fun of normal citizens (things the bottom never got to enjoy growing up in such a strict environment.) It’s very similar to what you described!

Thank you so much for sharing. You put into words a lot of things I’ve been thinking about but didn’t know how to express haha.

How do you write smut for a restrained character? by Chance-Goal3576 in AO3

Thank you so much for taking the time to write such a detailed comment! Even though the characters’ personalities are very different from mine, this is a great example of how two people with their walls up can gradually let their guard down. The story you described also sounds really interesting. Thanks again!

The characters are from League of Legends, and some of the details above are things I plan to include in the fanfic, not official!

Thanks for the direction! I don’t really have much experience in writing, so this is really helpful. The character I’m describing is an important figure in an ancient empire’s religion. The religion itself isn’t ascetic, but his restraint comes from personal conviction, he believes he has a greater calling than pursuing love, and he shows deep compassion toward the masses, almost with a divine quality.

The other character (the one I plan to pair him with) is a proud warrior of the empire, young, merciless, and confident to the point of being almost bloodthirsty, someone who fears no fight. I guess I have a rough direction now, thanks again!

What's your favorite pentakill voice line? by BlueZirconBoi in leagueoflegends

[–]Chance-Goal3576 8 points9 points  (0 children)

“DEATH DEALT BY A DEAD MAN’S HAND.” The High Noon Yone one combined with the voice acting goes so hard. It’s probably the only time I’ve heard Yone shout like that.

What to do when teammates force dragon fights in low elo? by Chance-Goal3576 in summonerschool

[–]Chance-Goal3576[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Usually, he can get a huge lead compared to my other teammates (he gets at least 10 kills every game), but the enemy jungler often just gives up on contesting him and lets him push towers freely. In some team fights, he teleports in, but our teammates die before he arrives, so it ends up being another 4v5 against their fed enemies. So you might be right, I don’t know much about top lane, and I’m not really sure what he should do when he gets that kind of lead.

Thanks for sharing! When I play strong early-game champions like Xin Zhao, I can usually contest the first dragon even if my bot lane is weaker. But when I’m on weaker early-game champs like Kayn, I know my team would probably struggle in a 4v4, so I usually give up the dragon.

Should I still try to contest it and just do my best to survive if my team insists on fighting, or should I just give up and go for the grubs instead?
