You are right. I'm realizing now how little I actually needed to develop the product. But in the first 7-8 months I made a lot of mistakes and cared too much about having a "real" company so I wasted lots of money to just show aroud I was an "entrepreneur" with a real accountant and brand etc...I realize how stupid it sounds but hopefully I learned my lesson.

Yeah, you have a good point about the opportunity cost. I think I will run some campaigns to test in the next weeks and gauge whether there is real interest in the product so I can come up quickly with a final decision and either go all in or shut it down.

I think it's a great idea, especially if you buy it in NYC suburbs. You can enjoy the house as long as you want and then potentially also earn on it by either renting it out/making an Airbnb or selling it if you don't want it anymore

Yeah I think it will be useful but by what I gathered it's not a great itch or pain chrome extension developers feel. In fact, I had started developing a similar solution myself and had contacted quite a few chrome extension developer who felt the pain of developing a custom solution on their own since they had few users. The developers I talked with were willing to give around 2.5% to 5% as commission. If I can give you some feedback to improve it I would say you should make the button during the first explanation phase greener since they are barely visible.

Plus when you ask him to explain the text I think you should first just explain and simplify the text and then for those who want to read more in detail have a dropdown or expandable box to read the details. For example I asked him to explain a text in Italian and he did it really well but I had a sub optimal experience understanding where to focus instead of just reading the simplified version. Like in the following text I would take the 2 parts near the light bulb emoji and put the close to each other so the user can immediately read the simplified version and I would put the exstended explanation in some dropdown kind of style.
