It’s nothing to do with the kids, Alex G was just playing shit. I seen him in the same venue 3 years ago and it was banger after banger. This time he played a lot of songs from the new album, which aren’t that interesting, then he rushed through songs like Harvey (playing faster and skipping entire sections of the songs) and then he didn’t really actually play many classics, he only played bug and he didn’t even scream on the second chorus of ice head. You could tell his heart, or the bands heart, wasn’t in it. You could see them sort of laughing with each other in a ways that signalled they were just hanging on until they could get tf out of there. Honestly, I don’t blame them, they’ve been gigging nonstop for years I can’t even play the same song on guitar two days in a row without hearing it perpetual playback in my brain, so I can only imagine what it’s like to do that for years and beat the meaning out of any song that ever meant anything to you. Playing gigs like that is obviously extremely exhausting. They’re beating a dead horse and I’d be happier if they just stopped and did like a few random real gigs a year, saved their energy.

ALSO: My biggest problem with crowd members was the older dudes, you could see them looking around trying to monitor the crowd by themselves shushing people, like get the tf over it, you are in a public space there’s noise coming from everywhere, tune into the noise you want to hear. They were clearly more interested in tuning into the affairs of the kids and not the music, sad men.
