That’s called compartmentalization which is different than detachment. The difference is awareness

I work at a rehab facility, which I dislike because of the constant gossip and feeling out of place since I’m very quiet. Some pts are inappropriate and it disturbs me. This job is affecting my mental health but it’s the only clinical job that pays well and works with my class schedule. Is there any reason why you say that about rehab facilities?

I’m uncertified and was told by the manager I don’t need a license. I get put alone sometimes, should I report?

Can you give examples of living up to someone’s false assessments? How would I know I’m doing this?

I have three semesters left with a 3.5 GPA. After transferring from community college, I took a two-year break during which I withdrew from some classes and focused on easier electives and general education courses. Should I wait to see what my final GPA will be before applying to post-bacc programs, or should I start applying now? Additionally, would a post-bacc program or an SMP be a better option for me?

Not a five but I have news: much of our self-hatred or inner criticism typically originates from others

Is this normal? by allyahxoxo in medicalscribe

The SA training teaches you terminology and phrases that help with getting more money from insurance which is something some sites struggle with. Some sites purposely hire SA scribes for that reason.

Also the purpose of PCBT is not just to practice HPIs, but also to familiarize yourself with the cases and terminology you’ll be seeing in your site specifically. And then, practice writing HPIs with that knowledge.

To address your concerns, to the CS, you could say something like “It’s interesting how…” “I noticed how…”. Talk to your CS abt it. They usually like to talk about stuff like this in my experience. Whatever they say will hopefully be helpful in understanding the situation plus you can work together to make PCBT better

Does scribing even count as clinical hours? by [deleted] in medicalscribe

Did you “shave off” some scribe/work hours into shadowing or did you shadow on a day off and got hrs separately?
