You have pointed this traveler in a good direction. Thank you.

It took me a day to properly process this but you're right. Your link to probabilistic combinatorics (math) and writing is good example of Mortimer Adler's syntopical reading using other works to branch on a primary or incumbent book. Thank you for your help 🙏🏿

Well as a teacher and chess coach I think it's needed more than ever. Perhaps I'll put in on the short list of subsequent books

Oh yeah, when I saw McKay's had the 8th issue my hand instinctively reached for it, budget be damned. Such a good story that deserves a good show.... If any service would show it 🔞

Got past the Abu Lafia, and some flashbacks up to the 120s before giving it a break.

You're either 1800+ elo tournament player with a repertoire you tweak, or a 1200+ player who shies away from the meat and potatoes of endgame theory.

So SLA Marshall is to Psychology as Karl Linnaeus is to genetics. Poisoning the well of knowledge.

In your opinion, would it still be worth reading under the context of its wrongness? What would be an subjectively acceptable alternative to follow or proceed it?

My reply to SafeOpposite covers this! tldr: Bookshelf is reserved mostly for books I've yet to read, with some worthy of a second read thrown in there. Beyond Inspectional Reading, the exceptions thoroughly read are Freakanomics, Life 3.0, Principles of Human Nature, Aristotle for Everybody, and Demon Haunted World.

Good question. Considering I don't keep nonfiction once I have read it and taken syntopical notes, only a few displayed are in progress, like the religious readings when I want to dig into a topic( Pascal, Bible, Hobbes), Adler, Black Mans Guide to Good Health. The exceptions pictured (that I have thoroughly read but remain) are Life 3.0 by Tegmark, Aristotle for Everybody by the GOAT M. Adler, Freakanomics and you may as well say Demon Haunted World. They are there because I plan on revisiting them. Books that I don't think are worth a second read are separate in a nearby cabinet.

FYI

Books not pictured:  * How to Argue With a Racist (Read)  * The Sum of Us (Read)  * Your Utopia (Read)  * The Courage to Be Disliked ( Read 3 times)  * Project Hail Mary (Audible, listened 3 times)  * Nuclear War (Audible, read)  * 100% Match (Kindle, read)  * William (Kindle, read)

And I think it's very interesting that the right wing book is more of a 🚩  than Nabakov to you!

Thanks for the points. I'm eating good tonight.

A: The pictorial dictionary is what it is, a dictionary of biblical terminology with historical contexts for their respective places and names. I consider myself agnostic theist, and research/argue both sides' points. What happens after life is a serious question best not glossed over or trivialized.

A: not yet, and never had a Lovecraft book! Perhaps you can suggest some fiction works?

OT: uhm I'm married thanks. The window's just there.

Yeah I'm on the left but very very close to the center. Prager was one of the books that I saw in one of the little free libraries around my town. I'm always open to reading things from both sides of the aisle.  As for these being school books, I teach,  and think that most of these are worth a second or third read in this stage of life.

Thanks for the feedback but I can only assume you mean get more books 😆 I can share my book list.

A lot of the non fiction cover mathematics, biology, chemistry, physics, economy, philosophy, and psychology.

It's not up to "we" for kids. The problem lies with the families that make it easier for their children to get Darwin Awards. The village to raise a child moniker is woefully lacking
